HAVE YOU BEEN SERVED?

The is a hole inside myself in one of my expansive walls.
Where I see green hill of Earth and watch your feelings creep and crawl.
I watch as love gets ripped away like tissue thrown out yesterday.
I drink your sweet pained life right up inside my aching coffee cup.
Opps, it spilled! Why wipe it up?
I’ll just go get another cup.

Oh look there’s solace to a friend, that makes my drink so sweet.
The milk of kindness for a stranger, I’ll add that for a treat.
There’s a crumb of offered friendship, I’ll add that to my plate.
Then there’s the fruit of your success, a feast of praise will I partake.
Still more comes forth from life’s buffet, as I grab another tray.

Some help in sorrow, bittersweet.
Then fellowship, a quite rare meat.
Some toast of goodwill, fillet of song,
A jelly belly of clear laughter, a hug of support extra strong.

And just to top of this great feast, I’ll add myself an extra treat.
A sense of mirth for you my friend, given hear at stories end.
