Letting Go
When people want things they can't have
they forget to live, they forget to laugh
they force their life into a mold
which leaves them trapped, alone and cold

You can not set your spirit free
if you're locked into what your life must be
many things aren't left to chance
for life has patterns like a dance

shut not out the sun's pure light
because at times it seems to bright
accept the light and warmth it gives
this lesson's true for all that lives

As with the light, it sometimes rains
when days are dark with thoughts of pain
But all of this is part of life
to know the range from joy to strife

It's through extremes that man can grow
