"The paperwork has been taken care of!" The short haired twin said.
"Th-Thanks."
Alex said with a smile his face going back to normal somewhat.
"'Bout time!"
Jace groaned. "Grab your stuff, pup. Time to find your new room."
"I really hope the don't call us back saying the papers where lost."
David said glancing back at the twins.
"I hope so too."
Alex said as he glanced at the twins before following Jace.
Jace let out a thoughtful hum as they entered the hall before turning to David. "Whadja think? East wing with the garden view, or West wing with the private suites?" Translation: East wing with the shrubs and forest right out your window, or West wing with a private bathroom and mini-fridge?
David thought for a bit. "I rather like the west wing...but the private bath is really nice too. What would you like Alex?"
"Well..."
Alex said deep in thought, "I think I'd like the West Wing."
Jace nodded. "Good choice. The hall bathrooms in the East wing can get a little..." He cleared his throat. "But anyways, if you chose a room fast enough, you might get lucky and end up with a tolerable roommate, or even none at all." Jace shot Alex his wolfish grin before heading down the West hall.
Alex rolled his eyes and chuckled, "Alright, I really don't mind a roommate as long as they're not hyper."
"Sorry, pup,"
Jace teased David as he clapped his shoulder, "guess that means you're still stuck with Mattie..."
David gulped then straightened out."Hey Alex... Umm ya know the West Wing isn't so great there is actually a lot of good things about the East Wing..." David clearly didn't get along with "Mattie".
"You're just saying that because of this Mattie person, aren't you?"
Alex said obviously amused.
"Maybe...."
David said looking away.
Alex chuckled, "I guess I was right."
"Not that I would blame him..."
Jace muttered under his breath. "Anyways, unused rooms have open doors, so take your pick." Jace shrugged. "There should be a few unclaimed ones left... If not, we'll just go back to the clerks and see if we can find you an agreeable roommate."
"Alright, so what's this Mattie person like? Why are they so horrible?"
Alex asked curiously.
David slumped down. "He was placed on Earth to make everyone's life awful..... he is... the most annoying person alive."
Jace chuckled warmly at David's description. "That might be a bit of an exaggeration..
. Although most people are already pretty annoying to begin with in my opinion."
"Well if I ever meet Mattie I'll see for myself I guess, but for now I think I'll leave him with you." Alex said with a smirk.
"So pup," Jace gestured down the hall of doorways, "See anything you like?"
Alex looked at the hall of doorways and thought for a moment before picking the second one on the right.
"Good one! Do ya need help unpacking?" David asked.
Alex looked at David and smiled, "No, I'm ok, but thanks anyways."
Jace shrugged. "Well, if you need anything," he rapped his knuckles on the wall beside him, "just knock. The vent shafts carry vibrations pretty well in the dorm areas..." Or at least well enough for a werewolf to hear.
David sighed and mumbled about werewolf's great hearing as he left.
Alex chuckled, "Alright will do, thanks." He said with a smile as David left.
Jace grunted acknowledgment at David as he passed before turning back to Alex. "I'll just go chat with Betty 'bout your check-up. Remember, if I'm not back by sunset I'll come for you and we can start training around an hour or so after sunrise."
"Alright, that's fine." Alex said with a smile and a nod as he opened the door that he had chosen.
Jace nodded before heading in the direction of Betty's clinic.
Anabell/Alan:

"Whooo!!That was fun boys!" Anna Said hopping out of the van.
Alan's eye twitched, "Y-Yeah... Fun." He said as he got out of the van slowly.
"Whoo! It's Betty time! Come on Alan." Anna said almost running to the facility.
"Betty time? Who's Betty?" Alan asked curiously as he followed after Anna.
"Heehee you'll see."Anna said.
Alan held his bag even tighter, 'I don't think this is going to end well.'
Anna lead Alan into the facility and down a few halls until they reached a door. "Well, you first." Anna said.
Alan nodded and clutched his bag tighter as he entered the room he and Anna had stopped at.
A woman turned around to see who entered. "AH!! Well aren't you simply adorable!!!" The woman said her face lighting up.
Alan blushed brightly, "Y-You mean m-me?" He said looking at the woman shyly.
"Of course you!!!" The woman said.
Anna interrupted the woman." Betty this is Alan, Alan this is Betty. Betty I need a quick check please."
Alan waved at Betty, "Hi, nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too sweetie!! Aww now Annie be nice, I just want to talk a little." as soon as Betty said "Annie" Anna turned beet red.
Alan looked at Anna and tried not to smile, but failed.
"What are ya smiling about?" Anna asked with a evil grin, face returning to normal.
Alan cleared his throat and put on an innocent face, "N-Nothing, just thought of something funny."
Anna gave Alan a look before turning back to Betty."I'd be more then happy to bring him back later.
"Oh pooie... first Jacie, now you with the 'make it quick' talk." Betty whined.
"Jacie?" Alan repeated with a raised brow wondering who she was talking about.
"DA** HIM!!! You mean he's already been here?!?!" Anna nearly yelled.
"Sorry dearie, but he beat you." Betty said with a giggle. "Now lets look you over."
Alan backed up a bit as Anna yelled, he hated yelling.
"Leave her to cry dear." Betty said leading him to a table. "Please take a seat and I'll make this quick... but first... I have a granddaughter around your age."
"Oh, um... I'm sorry, but I'm not into girls." Alan said blushing slightly not looking at Betty.
"I HAVE SOME GRANDSONS TOO!!"
Alan blinked, "Uh, what?" He said mildly confused.
"Oh here's a picture of all of them!" Betty said handing him a picture. "You can keep that. Heehee"
"Yo, Ba--er, Betty! Who're you playin' matchmaker for this time?" Jace strode into the room with an eyebrow raised and a nearly-sadistic smirk on his face.
"Oh, th-thanks." Alan said as he took the picture politely and looked over at Jace curiously as he walked in.
"What the H*** Jace!! I didn't even tell you about this competition and you still beat me!"Anna asked annoyed.
Jace blinked innocently before his face melted into a look of confusion. "'Competition'? Wha?" Suddenly his eyes widened a little at the reminder of Anabell's competitive spirit and he crumbled before the trio's eyes into what could best be described as the expression of a kicked puppy-dog--never mind that he still didn't know what the competition actually was... "I'm sorry Ana! Why didn't you tell me?"
Betty started laughing hard at the scene.
"I know you don't try, when I tell you!! So I thought this time it would be fair." Anna said lightening up on him once she noticed his look.
"I guess that makes sense..." Jace rubbed the back of his head, still looking a little ashamed, but now a bit bashful, too. "What was the competition, again?"
Anna let out a slight sigh before a smile. "To see who could get a newbie first."
Alan covered his ears when Anna started yelling again, 'Yelling! I hate the yelling! He thought to himself closing his eyes tightly as if in pain, he relaxed slightly when she stopped yelling, but didn't uncover his ears incase she started yelling again.
There was practically an audible click as Jace realized something. "Oh! You won, then!" Jace's wolfish grin made a comeback appearance. "The pup I found was from one of Julian's litters. That's pretty much cheating, so I'm disqualified, right?" He turned to Betty and the newbie for support. "Right?"
Betty made a X with her arms. "WRONG."
Alan still had his ears covered, but he still heard Jace he shrugged not knowing much about contests.
"Did you know him before bringing him?" Anna asked.
Jace frowned, finding himself completely incapable of lying to Anabell. "...No. But he wasn't exactly hiding his skills or scent!" Although that stupid pepper spay did a good job of that...
"Then you still won."Anna said. Why would he even want to lose so bad!
Jace gave a muffled whine that sounded halfway like a "woof". "But it's not fair!" He insisted. "Maybe if you had my nose it would be, but it's not like they've made a warrior-detector-thingy yet in tech!" He suddenly turned to Betty with a wide-eyed expression of near horror. "Have they?!"
"No they haven't, but if you don't mind, I have a check up to do." Betty said looking at Alan with a smile.
Jace visibly relaxed, certain that his job was more secure for as long as a werewolf's nose was irreplaceable. "A vampire?" In a blink of an eye, Jace had rather subtlety placed himself between Anabell and the other male in the room. "What's his name? How old is he? Are you sure he can handle military life?" The first two questions were addressed to Betty, but the last was "whispered" to Anabell.
Alan blinked slightly confused, "My name is Alan Stark and I'm eighteen, well now anyways." He said as he uncovered his ears and relaxed.
"Stark, eh?" Jace raised a suspicious eyebrow. "Combat skills?"
"I have seen him in combat, he is quite skilled and will become even better through training." Annabell said with a grin, which she uses to say she thought someone would be a good soldier.
Jace nearly blanched at the thought of Anabell being in a combat situation without him, but reminded himself she was a capable gunner and he did not smell any fresh wounds on her. "If you say so Ana..."
"You two lovebirds go in the hall, I'm sure your making Alan uneasy."
Jace's face turned a lovely shade of red to match Anabell's hair before he cleared his throat and became his usual self again, addressing Alan, but still standing near Anabell. "Have you been taken to the clerks, yet? We'll need blood work on this one, Betty."
Alan shook his head, "Betty's trying to uh... Set me up with one of her grandsons."
Jace let out an explosive bark of laughter. And she say's Ana and I are the ones making the pup uncomfortable?
Alan blinked slightly confused, "What's so funny?"
"Leave dogs to bark, dear. I need you to hold still, so I can get some blood." Betty said as she got a needle out.
"Alright." Alan said as he rolled up his sleeve for Betty and sat still.
It didn't hurt any. Betty started with the rest of the tests
"Have you figured out where the pup's gonna dorm yet or what kind of combat he's gonna train for?" Jace asked Anabell, studiously ignoring Betty's "dog" comment.
"Not yet with the room. Sword combat." Annabell replied. "What about your trainee?"
"West wing. Smaller blades, but he's skilled with them, no doubt about it." Jace had an uncharacteristically wide grin at the thought of finally finding a sibling he could relate to. "I can't wait for you to meet him."
Alan remained calm during the tests, he listened to Annabell and Jace's conversation curiously.
"I'm glad to see you so happy." Annabell said with a big smile.
Jace chuckled a little, his cheeks barely tinting pink. "You don't know the half of it, Ana! He's one of Julian's! And I found him protecting some kids!" He said excitedly. It was a devastating thought for years that the only living family he had were those he had to hunt down...
"Hmmm. And you said he is good blades?" Anna asked with a grin as she glanced over at Alan.
"Pup's got a style all his own." Jace nodded proudly as though it was his own son he was gushing over. He noticed Anabell's glance. "And yours?"
"He's got a style of his own too. Does he have a roommate yet?" Anna asked smilling even more when she noticed how Jace was talking.
"Naw. Got him an empty room. Probably the last one he wouldn't've had to share." Jace shrugged, starting to calm down now, but still keeping his goofy grin.
"Okay, well my pup still needs a room....Think they would make good roommates?" Anna asked.
Jace's grin dissappeared. "Well... Alex seems like he's got a good sense of humor an' all, but so does David and he got the short end of the stick as far as roomies go..." There was a silent question of how tolerable Alan was.
Alan looked from Jace to Anabell, when they talked about him rooming with someone named Alex he looked away and stared at the wall, "I don't mind having a roommate, I won't bug them or anything..."
"All right, your all done, dear." Betty said happily.
"Oh, uh thank you." Alan said smiling at Betty.
Jace exhaled deeply. "Well, a quiet type's better than Mattie, I guess..." He turned to Alan. "I'll show you to your new room once your done with the clerks. Got it, pup?"
"P-Pup?" Alan repeated slightly confused by being called a pup.
"Come on,...Pup...We have paper work to do." Anna said smiling as she said pup.
"I'll catch up with you two in a bit," Jace's wolfish grin returned at Anabell's use of the word "pup" before he turned to Betty. "I need a check-up schedule and an appointment for the bloodwork, tests, and innoculation of the one I brought in earlier."
"Oh, uh ok." Alan said getting up to follow Anna, he still was slightly confused by the word 'pup', but he let it go.
"All right, please sign these papers." Betty said handing the paper over. She waited until Annabell was on her way before saying: "How does that girl not see your head-over-heels for her!"
"Next stop the clerk twins!"Anna said happily leading him down the hall.
'I hope these twins aren't crazy or try to hit on me.' Alan thought as he sighed heavily and followed Anna.
Jace took the papers to a cleared-off counter and started signing before freezing up momentarily at Betty's comment. "So it's that obvious? And here I thought I was giving mixed signals, or something..."
Betty glanced at him knowingly.
"Hey, Betty?" Jace began as he continued signing papers. "You've been married, what? 50, 60 years, now?"
"62 years now." Betty said with a greatly-big smile
"Then I guess you're the expert..." Jace muttered. "So do you know what I'm doing wrong?"
"Well you can't go on a normal date...TAKE HER ON A ZOMBIE HUNT!! It is her favorite passtime!"
Jace groaned. "I've done that. By your definition, we've been 'dating' for five years, now. She never sees it that way..." He signed the last paper and dropped his forehead on it.
"She has been born and raised to be a great soldier and leader.....dating is something new to her.....And you."
"Yeah, yeah." Jace mumbled into the pile of papers before sighing and getting up to reorganize them. "I guess I better get going."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Welcome! What do ya need?!" The two girls at the counter asked at the same time.
Alan blinked as he looked at the twins, 'So do all twins really talk at the same time?'
"Nope we are just awesome, and yes we can read minds." The short haired twin said.
"We need registration papers." Anna stated.
Alan blushed, "I-Isn't that an invasion of p-privacy?" He said looking down.
"Okay." The pony-tailed twin replied to Anna. "We can't help it...besides it is back up security." The short haired twin answered.
"Well it doesn't make it any less creepy." Alan said as he hugged his bag closer to himself and avoided eye contact.
"Don't scare him! Here's your paperwork, sorry about my sister." The pony-tailed twin said. "I can't help it he's cute."
"C-Cute, you think I'm c-cute?" Alan repeated blushing brightly and looking back at his feet.
"Yep! You are!" The short haired twin said. "Not as cute as Alex." The pony-tailed twin murmured.
"Th-Thank you." Alan said his face still bright red.
"Heehe your welcome."
"Come on you have paper work." Anna said.
"Which one is it, this time?" Jace sauntered in with his wolfish grin.
"Maniko is the one this time, seem Meko has a thing for Alex." Anna answered.
"Well at least they're consistant." Jace widened his grin into a grimace to bare his wolf-like canines at the twins. "Although they tend to be consistant distractions."
Alan sighed, "I'm sorry, but um... I'm gay." He said not looking at any one as he took the paperwork and going to a table to fill it out.
"HUH?!......GOD! why are the hot ones always gay!?!?! That's it sex change is the only answer!" Maniko said. "No you can't get a sex change!!" Meko replied.
Alan blinked, "Uh, what?" He said obviously confused by her outburst.
"Don't worry about them....they're just crazy." Anna said to him with a long sigh.
"Oh, uh... Ok then." Alan said still confused as he began filling out the paperwork.
A man ran in. "Annabell! Your needed for a meeting." The man seemed a bit uneasy.
"All right. I'll be back to check on you later. Jace, If I'm not back when he's done just take him to his room please." Anna said as she left.
"Right." Jace nodded like a loyal, well-disciplined soldier, but seemed to deflate as Anabell left the room.
"Don't worry Jace...there are some other clerks that are single...maybe you can date one of them instead,<3" Maniko said smiling.
A low, feral-sounding growl echoed throughout the room and chilled the insides of anyone within earshot. "Don't you two have work to do?" Jace asked in a deathly calm voice, obviously not as close to the twins as he was to Betty or David.
"Uhh right." Maniko said grabbing some papers (she looked pale now). "I'm sorry...." Meko replied it sounded more like a squeak.
Satisfied with the twins' responses, Jace turned his attention back to Alan. "'Bout done, yet, pup?" He asked gruffly, but not as harsh as he was with the twins.
Alan shuddered before nodding, "Yeah, I'm all done."
"Good. Let's get going, then." Jace swiftly picked up the piles of paper before plopping them on the desk in front of the clerk twins and turning on his heel to walk out the door.
Alan nodded as he picked up his bag and followed Jace out of the door before glancing at the twins.
"We'll take care of the paper really fast!!" Meko called after them.
Jace ignored the twins as he started a brisk pace towards the dorms. "You're going to be in the West wing." He stated without looking back at Alan. "That means your room has a private bathroom and mini-fridge."
"Oh, that sounds cool." Alan said as he followed Jace making a mental note to never get on his bad side.
When they reached the room in question, Jace knocked rather harshly on the door before calling out: "Yo, pup! Ana found you a room mate."
Alex pulled open the door, "She did?" He said as he spotted Alan standing slightly behind Jace. "Oh, hi."
"H-Hi." Alan said shyly as he looked Alex over. 'He seems pretty nice, he doesn't look very dangerous.'
"Get yer stuff unpacked and we'll grab David and head to the training grounds." Jace addressed both of them. Once he had his say, the werewolf stepped aside for Alan to enter, opting to just stand in the hallway next to the door and give off a malicious aura until they were ready to go.
*Veeeeeer* David slid over in a desk chair, he looked really bored. "What's up?"
"I've already unpacked." Alex said with a smile as he let Alan pass him so he could unpack.
Alan went into the room and unpacked his bag, once he was finished he walked back to the door, "I'm done."
"We're training the pups." Jace said to David before grabbing him by the back of the shirt to tug him off the chair and half-drag him down the hall, walking slow enough for the recruits to catch up. "Now."
Alex chuckled at David as he followed Jace, he wanted to follow in the chair, but didn't want to make Jace mad.
Alan blinked as he followed Jace, Alex and David after glancing at the chair.
When they reached the training grounds, Jace finally let go of David's shirt and turned to address Alex and Alan. "You two show us what you can do on them." He gestured to a couple of training dummies, then turned to David. "You take notes. I'm going to supervise." Translation: "You take care of my job while I go turn some training dummies into piles of splinter."
"Ok. By the way you owe me a new shirt...Oh and Anna wanted me to give this to you she forgot it earlier." David replied handing Jace a note.
Jace stared at the note in David's hand for a moment. Not glared or anything, just stared at it like he was not sure it was really there, before taking it and heading off a few yards away to read it. "Get going, pups."
Alex just smiled, "Come on." He said pulling Alan towards the training dummies.
Alan blinked and followed Alex as he blushed slightly not used to being touched by anyone.
The note was kinda hard to read she clearly write it fast: I'm really sorry I have to go for while ....We got a message that Zombies are no longer decaying and are actully able to bleed again......And the higher ups are trying to just leave small towns to fight for themselfs, all togather! >.<.....Oh yeah umm it is Alan's birthday please throw him a great party! XD
Jace paused in his reading once he read that Anabell would be gone for a while. That was the death of one training dummy. Then he read about the zombies and realized what sort of danger she'd be in. And there went dummy number two. When he reached the end of the note, his breathing was ragged and his shoulders were even tenser then when he got to the training grounds. Then he took a deep breath and walked over to David and pulled him aside while the recruits were busy. "It's the vampire pup's birthday." He murmured. "Ana wants us to celebrate or something..."
"hmmm..Okay we'll need someone to distract him.....maybe the twins." David said. It seemed he was really giving it some thought.
"That'd be hit an' miss." Jace replied. "The pup's shy enough that they might provoke a response, but he's also gay. And since he announced it to them, I doubt they'd put their all into it." Jace paused before an all too evil grin crossed his face. "But maybe if Alex was with him..."
David joined in the evil grin then looked over at the two boys. "Hehe I think where getting somewhere..."
Alex was watching Alan who had just cut a training dummy in half with his sword, "Nice job." He said clapping.
Alan blushed but smiled, "Thanks."
Jace grimaced a little. "One of the clerk twins knows how to bake, right?" He thought he heard one of them mentioning it, but he usually does not pay much attention to them.
