DEATH

As the glass shattered beneath my fist
I watched as the shards fell to the ground, shimmering with my reflection.
Only, what I saw reflected was not a person
But rather the empty, dark, remains of my tattered soul.
I could only stare in amazement and wonder as I picked up one of the shards and studied what was left of me.
I saw a dead, pale, living corpse, festering with the pain and torment of a thousand hells.
This morbid decrepit and hideous thing which was my soul made me abjectly sad beyond the depths of my most depressing darkness.
This vision scared me so much that I would have gladly welcomed the Prince of Darkness as a beautiful and majestic sight.
I dropped the shard of glass and ran. This was in vain, for as soon as I moved, I slipped on the glimmering shards and plummeted to the ground and was instantly pierced by hundreds of glass shards.
As I lay there slowly bleeding crimson life I noticed that one of the shards was staring at me, as if it were mocking me.
Seeing this, I realized that I was never truly human, I was Death incarnate.
When I did finally die I stood up, a mere skeletal soul, and was instantly wrapped in a black, hooded cloak.
A scythe appeared at my side, and when I grasped it in my grotesque skeletal hand I felt whole.
Now all that I know is the taking of mortal life, and it gives me pleasure beyond pure ecstasy. Knowing that I am responsible for the death of all living things gives me pure joy. I am feared by most and hated by all, for I am the dark angel of death now.

WHY?

Why do we do what we do?
Why do we go on living?
What’s the point?
All we do is kill one another and hate.
Why? I don’t get it.
Am I missing something?
I don’t see why we do these things.
Why do we exist?
We are creatures of evil.
We should all be dead.
Yet, we’re not.
Why?
Why are we here?
There is no reason for this.
But why?
Why isn’t there a reason?
Nothing makes sense anymore.
Why?
Why do what we do?
Why treat one another like shit?
Why must we torment ourselves so?
Why?!


 

Death of a cutter

Deeper and Deeper the cuts shall go.
Faster and faster the blood shall flow.
Quickly cut more and more.
As the blood begins to pour.
Down my arm, down my wrist.
Into the dark abyss.
Of my heart, of my soul.
Now the blood loss takes its toll.

It is time to say goodbye.
For soon, I shall die.
It's been fun,but now I'm done.
No more delay, I cannot stay.
I must go and complete the flow.
Of death and life and endless strife.
Don't worry about me now I'm free...

  

Lonely Tree

The barren tree stands alone.
In a field of watery crystals of frozen ice.
Its bark is covered in marks from unforgiving children
Digging through the soft bark to the crimson sap beneath.
This tree has seen too many years of winter.
Too long has the sun been gone.
No more leaves, for it died with its first fall.
Yet it continues to grow, reaching to escape.
But its roots are dug into the frozen Earth too deeply.
It cannot move and never will.
Some day it will fall over, having given up…
…a tree falls with no one around, did it scream?
