Here is where all the weapons, ammo, and ordinance is kept. All weapons that are not currently in use are held here for their respective Spartan. One man stands behind a fenced in,
bullet proof counter to give/recieve items. There is also a heavily reinforced door that allows access to the back should the man need assistance carrying anything in/out.

About three weeks have passed since the discovery of a new hostile alien race by the Spartan team. The Labs have been off limits to any and all personnel except the Scientists and Medical staff, due to the frantic and fierce studying and experiments that were being undertaken. Many breakthroughs were made and at the same time questions were raised, but the Lead Scientist was sure they were ready to present their findings. The intercomms crackled to life through-out the entire compound. "Will Spartans - 283, 313, 314, 369, 382, 402 please report to Command immediately."

Spook, as usual, was working on emptying a box of sniper ammo when she heard the call. Damn. She quickly reloaded her mags, emptying the rest of the container. Since that incident with the flood on their first mission, she'd been carrying three times the amount of ammo she usually carried. She chucked the empty box on the counter for the armory sergeant and didn't bother checking Baby back in. She headed for the commend deck, sort of hoping she'd be the first to arrive.

The clerk behind the counter hollered at Spook, trying to get her back to check in her weapon. When she left and didn't come back, he let out a sigh and shook his head, "Better not come back on me." he muttered before taking the empty ammo box and putting it back in the back.

Suddenly, the fire alarms began to blare all over the facility. A calm feminine voice came over the speakers in between appropriately space alarm screams, "Please make for the nearest exit and follow evacuation plan Foxtrot and proceed to the hangar."

Spook was bending the Foxtrot protocol just a bit by swinging by the armory first before heading onto the hanger. Thankfully the armory officer had already headed the call. She vaulted over the counter and snatched up Lil' Buddy from where he was -usually placed. She wasn't about to leave him behind. She was just about to head onto the hangar when she had a thought. Evacuate with half her ammo carrying capacity? No. She'd been caught with too little ammo during that mission with the flood. She wasn't about to take the time to load up slug by slug, so instead, she grabbed an ammo box of the new sniper shells she'd ordered and chucked a box of mag ammo in the top of it. Feeling better departed for the hangar.

Aaron walked in and gave the room a quick sweep through the scope of his rifle. "Alright, room's clear. Tavish, hop the counter and grab up our gear."

"Why just ours?" Tavish muttered to himself, shuffling over the desk easily and starting to shift through the armoury. He had his own guns in a few seconds, and was searching for the others "Do we really want anything too explosive? We do have to live here afterwards."

"Our's, Spook's, and Scorch's." Aaron said, "And I swear to God if you try to keep me from my rocket launcher I will undo every bolt and lugnut on every warthog you ever work on."

Stitch looked around, and immediately found the spartan laser and baton he had so missed. "I'm glad these things stand out, they're easy to find." He put the weapons on his back and side respectively, and set out to grab other weapons, chuckling at Aaron's stress. "Come on now, let him have his toys. Oh, and the same thing goes for me. Do not touch, or look into the operational end of my laser."

"Ugh, fine" Tavish muttered, placing the rocket launcher and lazer down first before going over for the other equipment pieces "But you guys realise that they're not going to be happy with massive holes in the walls right? We're after a slime. Not a Scorpion."

"No, but they are sending one in after the slime." Aaron said, taking the chance to make a reference to his call sign. "I'm pretty sure, if we don't stop this thing now, they are going to send in a nuke to take this whole base out. So a few bullet holes and destroyed consoles are going to be acceptable."

"Bullet holes, sure, dings and wires and screens missing? Ok? But if you take out someone's office with that thing" Tavish pointed to the rocket launcher as he began to stack together other people's items "Then someone is going to be casting you evil eyes across the mess hall for the rest of the year."

"No office, or nuke up the ass?" Aaron said, holding his hands out as if they were scales weighing two items.

"Is this an honest question?" Tavish asked, gazing at Aaron with lided eyes through his helmet. Tavish was the kind of person who was likely to ride the nuke on the way down right now. He shouldn't test the nutter.

Near the back of the room a grate from the ceiling clattered to the floor and a familiar black helmet popped though. "Yep, they're here." Spook said, dropping through the vent and landing silently. Had she been with anyone other than Scorch they never could have come this direction. Like her he was smaller than the other spartans.

When the grate clattered to the floor, Aaron trained his borrowed gun on it till Spook's head popped out. "Nice of you to join us." he said as he lowered the gun.

Scorch fell out after Spook, landing not quite as silently as his partner had been. He looked at the others, "Please tell me you've unlocked the weapons."

"Shaft's gettin' 'em now." Aaron said, pointing his thumb towards the weapon's lockers.

"I need to grab some more ammo." Spook told them and headed for the supply room where Tavish was.

There was already a small clip of ammo on the table, along with quite a few others guns. Tavish wasn't letting the people who had helped Spook get here go without weapons. "I'm not sure what good these will do against goo" Tavish pointed out as he began to put some more ammo down "But we'll have to find out."

"So where's my special ammo? I barely got a chance to test it last time." Scorch said, extremely eager to go and fire a shot of the stuff at this goo enemy

"Do you want to come over here and do it yourself?" Tavish said impatiently "Pick up your weapons people! Like the man said, if we don't get this done then a nuke will drop. Bickering is not going to be what destroys this facility!"

Aaron just shook his head as he grabbed up his weapons and attached them to his armor. He grabbed up his ammo belts and looked around to the others, "Can someone load me up?" he said as he gestured to the large ammo box on his back.

Grabbing all necessary components for his laser, Stitch smirked at Scorp's ammo amount. "Good luck with carrying all that crap." He looked down at his shock stick, happy that it didn't exactly need much ammo per se.

Spook lifted two of Aaron's loads and slid them across the table towards Scorch who was closest to assist their captain. "You could stand to chill out Tavish." she told him as she continued loading her mags She preferred Baby's modified 13 round mag as opposed to the standard 4 round mag, but she grabbed a few extras any way. "Freaking out isn't going to help anyone right now." freaking out and charging head long into a turret.

"No, but standing there chatting about your need for special ammo isn't helping at all now is it?" Tavish pointed out grimly, only just deciding t acknowledge that Spook was there. "Anything else?" he asked, waving to the piles of weapons and ammo that he had pulled out for the people.

Scorch nodded to Scorp and started loading up the ammo box on his back. It took several minutes to complete and he patted the huge spartan on the shoulder when it was done. "Good to go boss." He turned back tot he table and picked up his shotgun, filling it with the new experimental shells and then loaded the extra ammo onto his belt. He looked at his flamethrower longingly, but he had already decided against that here anyway. It simpy wouldn't do to be setting their whole base on fire. He sighed inwardly and looked around at the other weapons on the table. "Where's my sword?"

Aaron waited for his HUD system to come back on fully and register the new ammo before he ran a full diagnostic on his weapon and ammo feed system. "Looks like it all checks out." he said as he moved over towards the door out.

The sword was tossed onto the counter, so Scorch would stop whining. Tavish needed the people to get the ammo and weapons off the desk before he could get out anyway. Unless he took out the door.

"Cut it out." Spook said thumping Tavish in the chest. He was acting reckless, stupid. "You're gonna get everyone killed acting like this. What the hell is the matter with you?"

Tavish stared blankly at her through his visor. For a moment, in the right light, she might be able to see his face through his visor, the shining outside becoming transparent in the shadow. He seemed to mouth a word, his microphone off. It then clicked back on and he said "Why aren't you helping with this?"

Spook could only see the angle of his jaw in the light and the slight movement of him saying... something. She gathered he wanted a moment of privacy and flipped to his channel, leaving everyone else blocked out. "What?" She asked. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Not now" Tavish said simply, looking around at the others "Like I said, bickering is not going to be the thing that kills this place." He paused as he reached up for another box of ammo "I... suppose we can talk later. Lets just try and not get you kill alright?" Strange wording there.

"No." Spook said, being stubborn as he well knew she could be. "Now, get it out now, cause how you're acting you're liable to get any one of us killed. You nearly got ME killed with that stupid stunt in the hangar!"

"I was trying to save your neck out there" Tavish pointed out as he kept the ammo piles stocked up, pushing some into his own pockets with a grunt, making sure he had plenty of grenades "Look. I'm not going to get anyone else killed. I promise." Again, strange phrasing "We will talk about this afterwards."

"Else...?" Spook said to herself. "What the hell are you talking about!?" This must have been quite a sight if the rest of the team was watching. Her seemingly shouting at him with no sound at all.

Tavish sighed and scratched the back of his helmet as he looked around at Spook. He paused before he said the words "Amala. Stop. Now is not the time. I won't get other people killed. I'm sorry about what I did earlier, but I wanted to protect you and others. Lets just... talk about this later. Talk about... us, later."

If no one had noticed them yet, Spook slamming her fist down into the table in front of her was likely to get them good and noticed. If he would just argue with her this wouldn't be so frustrating. But he was just so... "You wanna know what's been wrong with me don't you?" She asked. "Why I've not admitted I know you? Why I've been such a bitch?" Maybe it wasn't so much his behavior lately as it was her holding it in so long. Maybe she was the liability not him... ether way... She opened a compartment in the chest of her armor and removed something. She slapped it to his chest and said "I want that back." Before grabbing a supply of plazzys and storming off for the exit to join the others.

Tavish blinked at her, then looked around at the others. He licked his lips, then switched the comms channel onto everyone. "You saw nothing" he said coldly before switching it off. He carefully unfolded a piece of paper in his hand, it was obvious what it was from the noise it made in his hand. He then slowly folded it back over, making sure it was nice and tight and together, then slipped it into a pocket just over his heart. He switched onto Spook's channel for a moment to say the words "We will talk later."

Aaron was about to walk over there and knock their helmets together to get them to stop when Spook shoved something into Tavish's hands and then walked away. "Get your shit straight Spartans! We got an intruder to take care of."

"Sir, yes sir." Spook barked, packed up the last of her ammunition and headed for the exit.

Tavish just seemed to stare blankly at Aaron before shrugging "I've been ready for an age. People just seem unable to walk through a door and pick up what they need." He patter the pockets of his suit slowly, checking if he had everything he needed. He double patted the one on his chest where he had just put the paper. He seemed to take a moment before following after Spook, as if unsure to walk in her footsteps.

If Spook hadn't said it, Scorch would have. He picked up his sword and pulled it from the sheath, examining the blade carefully before putting it back in. The idiot threw his sword, THREW it! His blood was boiling right now and he grit his teeth. His hand closed around the handle of his flamethrower and hefted it from the table. He needed it now, or he'd be the one who'd become a liability. With a sigh, he attached his sword to it's customary place on his back and nodded to Scorp.

Stitch simply shook his head in response to the chaos. What was with those two? "I'm so out of the loop that I really don't give a damn. Let's just go." He quickly followed after Shaft, giving him a wide berth, just in case.

Aaron shook his head. The last thing he needed was his team to be at each other's throats while trying to fight a highly skilled and dangerous opponent who currently has control of most of the base. He would need to address this problem later on and if it keeps happening then he would have to recommend dismantling the team. "Alright, keep your head on a swivel and don't be afraid to use excessive force on anything aggressive. Spook, do we have a general idea of exactly where he is?"

Scorch nodded and headed out after the others, clutching his flamethrower tightly. Should anything jump out at them, he was going to have a little barbeque.

"One moment Sir." Spook said scanning the map inside her helmet. "I've got n energy signature in the vicinity of the command deck. I should have a more definite location the closer we get."

"Hooray. Death" Tavish said flatly, checking his gun again and sighing as the bullets cooled in their chamber "Shall we go search it out then?" He was certain there was going to be a lot of resistance on the way there.

"Good, it's a start." Aaron said, ignoring Tavish's comment. "We may see more resistance as we get closer to the command center, so be ready."

"Naturally...at least there's only one. Right" Scorch replied, asking, hoping that it was true. Hoping that the creature hadn't managed to somehow bring in reinforcements of its own

"Scorch and I encountered a lot of resistance on the way here." Spook told Aaron. She knew he and his had come around from the outside, so she wasn't sure what sort of resistance they'd encountered. "On a good day it's take five or ten minuets to reach Command. It's gonna take us a lot longer and we're a much bigger target."

"As far as we know there's only one." Aaron answered Scorch's question. "We need to get there fast, so run and gun. We only stop if we come under overwhelming fire. Everyone clear?"

"So you and I should take point right? Put a hole in any defenses so the others can clean up the damage? Considering no one is willing to get in the way of your rockets except for me and the others would work best doing far away damage or clean-up" Tavish said, thinking surprisingly quickly considering he was possibly a massive liability. "Which way are we going anyway? I mean, going out into corridors might be a death sentence. why not cut through a few walls now we have high explosives and you apparently don't care what we destroy?"

"Considering the simple fact that these are close quarters, I think the CQE should take point." Scorch pointed out from a tactician's point of view. He had his moments, but stating the obvious was one of his special gifts.

"In a usual situation, yes" Tavish agreed with scorch as he looked around at him "But we're not up against normal fleshy things here. we're most likely going to meet automated defenses in corridors, which a flamethrower and katana would have limited abilities. I think you should stay near the back with Spook, considering she is a long range expert and if she attempts to get in on the action it might spring a close quarters trap, which you would then have greater ability to deal with. For running down corridors and making holes in defenses however, I think the high explosives would be best in front with dual wielding as a back-up."

"I might be new at this," Spook told the both of them. "But why don't we let the C.O. decide what the fuck we should do?" She still had the undeniable urge to whack Tavish in the back of his helmet with her pistol.

"Neither of you will be point." Aaron said, ending the argument. "I got the best shielding and the thickest armor as well as the 'Don't get in front of me' weapons. Spoook, you take up rear guard. Shaft and Scorch, you two will be in the middle in case I need one of you up front quickly."

"Alright" Tavish said, though he doubted the idea of going in a line, it would concentrate fire after all. If it was two people running straight on he had thought it best for him and aaron, but if the boss wanted that then fine. "Where will stitch go?" he asked, always the presenter of uneasy questions.

More arguments, what was with this 'team'? Stitch shook his head in dismay, before he noticed everyone being told to get into positions. Tavish's question echoed his own thoughts. "Perhaps I could go near you sir. I think my Spartan Laser counts as a 'Don't get in front of me weapon', and I'm not liable to do much damage in the back with a shock stick." At this point however, he worried that he may have overstepped his boundaries, telling the leader what to do. "Unless you want me to stay back in case of any immediate damage."

Scorch wasn't entirely pleased with the outcome, but Aaron was the CO and so he would do as ordered. Stitch brought up a good point, the last thing anyone would want is to get hit in the back with a blast from that Spartan Laser of his...

Spook would have put Stitch back with her considering how valuable a medic's skills were, but he did have a point. She didn't want to get caught in front of that laser when he decided to scope in on something.

"Yea, your a bit of a situation aren't cha." Aaron said, "Do you think your shields can take turret fire long enough to charge your laser?" He thought that in this situation Stitch may not be 100% combat effective considering his weapon choice, but he couldn't deny the effectiveness of the Spartan Laser against heavily armored targets.

"Can we please just go?" Tavish groaned; it was rather obvious that the others didn't quite grab his point about bickering before "We'll find out a formation that works as we go, but right now speed is key."

"Not really sure if I'm honest, but if not, I could always hold back and heal anyway." 'In fact' Stitch thought, 'If it goes badly, I might have to heal myself.' Hearing Shaft's impatience, he stepped forward, along side Scorp, ready to fight.

"Rushing head first into something is a sure way to get a man killed." Spook told him. She had more to add but Aaron had ordered them to stow it, so she kept the rest to her self for now.

Scorch couldn't help but grit his teeth when Tavish complained again. If push came to shove this psycho was liable to get them all killed! Just because he didn't want to plan anything

"So will standing around here" Tavish didn't like how everyone seemed to be turning against him because he was speaking his mind; he gets weapons, they bicker, he suggests a formation, they bicker, he tells them they need to hurry up and they pause to tell him that HE'S the reason they're not moving anywhere. He'd even said please when suggesting that they go. They were Spartans for god sake, they could figure out movements and tactics on the way, they were trained for the middle of a battle field. So why was everyone standing around here with their thumbs up their asses?

"Stitch will stay back with Spook to help cover the rear." Aaron said, coming to a conclusion. "Now, let's get out there and kick some gooey ass." With that he opened the door and pushed on towards the Spartan Command.

2011-10-20 [Lord Josmar]: But you couldn't see what was going on across the other side of the city "play area"

2011-10-20 [Ravenclaw]: I consider that as more of a design quality to keep the player fenced in rather than wandering around where there was no action. But as soon as Spook entered the base she downloaded the schematics. I'm pretty sure I even played that bit out just in case anything like this happened.

2011-10-20 [shadow of darkness]: you did, i remembered that

2011-10-20 [Ravenclaw]: Yeah it was like "Hi, I'm Spook. Oh look a VISR terminal."

2011-10-21 [Lord Josmar]: I know that. I'm not saying that you didn't get the base's layout. What I don't think anyone is getting is that all the Spartan's in the galaxy are based in this compound. The reason it isn't totally swarmed is because almost all of them are currently on assignment elsewhere.

2011-10-23 [Evolution X]: posts are needed!

2011-10-23 [Ravenclaw]: I think I speak for everyone when I say: No one had any idea that ALL the Spartans in the galaxy were based here.

2011-10-23 [Evolution X]: ..... they are?

2011-10-23 [Ravenclaw]: See... though Evo isn't exactly "everyone".

2011-10-24 [shadow of darkness]: i was unaware of this as well.

2011-10-24 [shadow of darkness]: Why should the mechanic go out front? The CQE is equipped to handle close quarters like a corridor, auto defenses or not. He's built and trained for this sort of thing. Tavish's the driver/mechanic. seriously, just because he has a death wish doesn't mean the rest of the squad should suffer

2011-10-24 [Evolution X]: He also has four guns of varying range, close quarter-basically-sawn-off-shotguns and two longer ranged traditional pistols. He can handle himself, even if he specialises in driving. If Scorch is in a corridor, and there are turrets shooting DOWN the corridor, he would literally have to run straight through the turret fire in order to get close enough to do damage. Also, Tavish doesn't want to be around Spook right now.

2011-10-24 [shadow of darkness]: so let me get this straight, your defense in having Tavish go up front is because he has a shotgun, which is Scorch's secondary weapon. And you don't want to be near Spook...*blink blink* sawed off shotgun has a shorter range than a standard shotgun and the further away you are from the target, the less damage you'll do. Scorch has a standard shotgun with those fancy radioactive shells. BTW, how does he have 4 guns? Weapons (Only two; Human):

2011-10-24 [Evolution X]: No, tavish has two small shotgun like weapons, and two normal pistols. He's allowed four guns because he was allowed to dual wield, so he does have two weapons, they're just dual wielding. And my point is that while Tavish has something that CAN deal with close up, he also has stuff that can deal with things rather far away, the regular pistols. So if he meets a blockade of fire that would, say, completely kill Scorch because he is unable to get close enough to do damage, Tavish can go back to his normal pistols. He can vary. I put Scorch and Spook together because Spook relies almost entirely on range and scorch on close combat. Tavish and Aaron can do a variety of damage at different ranges due to their weapons.

2011-10-24 [Ravenclaw]: Sod has a point. This is the exact thing Scorch was trained for and Tavish is sorta stealing that thunder. Just because Tavish doesn't want to be near Spook doesn't mean he has to be out front. According to their specialization, Spook would be in the back, followed by Stitch, Aaron being C.O. followed by Shaft then Scorch. IMHO.

2011-10-24 [Evolution X]: Well it's just a suggestion, not so much acting as a team as pairing off on either end to cover weaknesses. Tavish and Aaron would need to change weapons in order to cover each other at different ranges, so they would cover each other best, Spook and Scorch would cover each other perfectly because they work on different lengths. And I'm just thinking... how much damage would a flame thrower or a katana be against ball turrets? It's not that Tavish thinks he couldn't handle it if they were up against normal enemies, but stuff like turrets doesn't seem like his kind of enemy when the most he's got in defense in that area is a shotgun (which I don't really get because as SoD pointed out, two weapons... so... flamethrower, shotgun AND Katana?)

2011-10-24 [Ravenclaw]: The katana is part of the Hyabusa armor. It's not a secondary or 3rd weapon, it's part of the armor and J.C. said it was ok.

2011-10-24 [Evolution X]: Alrighty.

2011-10-25 [Evolution X]: Tavish did try and plan stuff! He was just ignored and people started bickering all over again! Can people stop bitching while I try to progress the RP?

2011-10-26 [Lord Josmar]: "Stitch will stay back with Spook to help cover the rear." Aaron said, coming to a conclusion. "Now, let's get out there and kick some gooey ass." With that he opened the door and pushed on towards the Spartan Command.

2011-10-26 [Lord Josmar]: We are gong to skip on to the final room.
