Seeds Characters: Lenna

Username:[Estantia]
Character name: Lenna (4-7940-8615- 042)
Species/creature/race: 4th Generation Seed. Failed.
Alignment: Neutral, but lives at the Institute
Gender: Female
Appearance: Normal at a glance, the drooped ears of the seed are pierced at the tips so that they can be linked together at the nape of her neck under slightly curly and volumous brown-blonde hair. The ears do have speckles and patches of brown similar to her hair though, further hiding them. The seed tri-pupil is nearly hidden by the dark brown of her eyes, though it lightens towards the rim, becoming a light brown iris.
Age: 17
Ears: Brown tinted speckles/patches on ears but looped behind her neck out of sight to make her appear normal. Cufflink-style connector designed to meld in with her hair.
Skin: Creamy, slightly tinted gold.
Hair: Brown/blonde, curly to wavy with volume, hangs loose to the bottom of her shoulderblades to hide her ears, and occasionally her face as she normally looks down, shy.
Eyes: The seeds tri-pupil is hard to notice at a glance due to the dark chocolate brown iris, lightening towards the edge to a honey colour. That and the rare eye contact means her strange eyes often go unnoticed.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 125 lb
Body built: Slight, graceful, artist's hands
Tattoos/Peircings/Marks and or Scars: Only cufflink to connect ears.
Clothes: Simplistic but stylish (in Lenna's eyes) as she designed and made them herself. She is mostly used for behavioural studies as it shows a learning curve starting with only the basics of what she sees and using what's around her to work out more things. Made of a soft cotton material that fits well, not tight, but comfortably. The long sleeved top is dark brown with slightly flared sleeves, each having a 15cm slit on the underside so she can fold them out the way when painting and drawing then tie them in place. Her trousers are a cream lighter than her skin in the same style as the top, flaring slightly at the ends. The shoes are sand-coloured canvas fastened with a flap of velcro, they are flexible and have good grip. However they only supplied her with a basic needle and thread so only simple stitches are used.
Preferred weapons: None, she refuses to fight and the maximum amount of pain she could cause would be a slap or a stab with a pen/pencil if caught and held.
Characteristics: Reserved, shy, benevolent, silent. Artistic and very intelligent, it is likely that her work is some of the best in the city. She is mute, but can express what she needs to through body language and, written notes, she doesn't like to use sign luanguage, though she understands it, as her hands are clumsy when she tries it, despite her artist's skill. She was taught to write, though the scientists who study her behaviour used it as an experiment to see how she learnt, one such experiment was getting her to connect sounds to letters, and they were interested when some letters she got correctly but others seemed to puzzle her.
Although she does know how to use sign language she usually ends up getting frustrated with her hands as they fumble with the movements, something she sees no reason for, but happens anyway. As a result she prefers to write or simply use body language to get her point across.
Personality: Reserved, caring, kind. She always wishes for people to find happiness, and as such wants to help the other seeds desperately. When one stole an empty water-jar of hers she let them have it in the hopes they'd be a little happier. She's also intelligent and responsible, liking puzzles and thinking well enough to be allowed to walk around the institute relatively unguarded if she 'asks' to be let out of her room for an hour or two.
Likes: Drawing, painting, designing, helping, puzzles, thinking, making friends, looking after people, seeing her designs become real, animals, particularly birds. Light open spaces, plants, her room, soft music.
Dislikes: Violence, anger, loud noises, small spaces, being useless, being helpless, running out of art supplies, being shunned, being misunderstood.
Abilities: None, unless you count her skill at drawing and intelligence
Weaknesses: Can try too hard to make friends or help someone, as well as sacrificing her own happiness for others. She also trusts very easily if you approach her the right way.
History: When she was 'born' they kept her around to see what had gone wrong to make her so radically different, it turned out she became a successful test subject for learning and behavioural studies. As such she 'works' for the institute as an artist/architect/designer, though her work is credited to another member of staff she remains unaware of the injustice this does her. She usually remains in her room she does go out at times to walk quietly through the lab and look at the scientists, occasionally sketching them. As such she is a semi-familiar face to some members of staff. However Lenna knows of the other seeds and desperately wants to make friends with them, this being particularly true of one boy that stole a spare water-jar from her once as she took them to be washed.  She normally uses left over pill bottles to cold the water she needs for painting.
Other: The art and designing she does brings in some money for the institute but she is unaware of this, or simply doesn't mind as long as it gets to be seen, it is diffucult to tell how much she knows but it is generally accepted she doesn't know of the plagerism. Her status as a behavioural experiment means that she is one of the, if not the best treated seeds. If you didn't look too closely at the thick hair that fell over the front of her ears and the place where they are cuff-linked at the back then it might be easy to mistake this seed as a normal girl. However as she has never been in contact with normal people this camouflage has so far gone untested...

2006-09-20 [Estantia]: Naturally, hm, how many scientists and people are in lab 5?

2006-09-20 [Talkris]: Not too many. Its a very under wraps thing. Officially, lab 5 does not even exist, so they would not have many people working there.

2006-09-20 [Estantia]: hm, she'd need her supervisor around then... at least at a distance.

2006-09-20 [Talkris]: Yup, her watcher would follow her. That is why each seed is given their own. Either the watchers look after them or another faculity member does. Either way, seeds are almost never left alone.

2006-09-20 [Estantia]: that makes sense, rght...

2006-09-20 [Talkris]: I think I'll have Jack play your watcher. Speaking of which, what kinf of person do you want? Male/female, age etc. Go to the NPC page and see what the other watchers are like and you can choose. You can even pick their name if you want, as I am running out of ideas for names heh

2006-09-21 [Estantia]: *laughs* Hm, they'd be gentle and curious, probably quite fond of lenna but not saying so. A sympathetic one would be ideal.

2006-10-15 [Talkris]: You still need to fix the parts I made notes on. And I am still not very fond of how you wrote she hides her ears to look more normal. In my opinion, she will never look normal nor blend in. Her ears will stand out and be obveious no matter how hard she tries to hide them.

2006-10-15 [Estantia]: Even if they're hidden under their hair? yes they may realise something was wrong, but not immediately see she was different, especially not if they're not paying attention.

which other bits did you want me to change?

2006-10-15 [Talkris]: Her ears are lopped like a rabbit's. It would be difficult to hide. Besides, she lives at the institute. Everyone knows what she is. And she won't been sent into the outside world much because she is more or less useless in battle. She'd be used as a decoy, because of her different appearance, to draw out the insurgents.

2006-10-15 [Talkris]: And change what I wrote out in pink in the bio.

2006-10-15 [Estantia]: and she is also used for behavioural studies as we discussed up there...

2006-10-16 [Talkris]: Yes

2006-10-16 [Estantia]: that better?

2006-10-16 [Fizban]: Estantia, how do you want your watcher to be? as I am playing/him her.

2006-10-16 [Estantia]: Hm, they'd be gentle and curious, probably quite fond of lenna but not saying so. A sympathetic one would be ideal. that ok?

2006-10-16 [Fizban]: okay,...age, gender?

2006-10-16 [Estantia]: no idea, that's up to you...

2006-10-17 [Fizban]: no its not, its up to you ;) I play too many characters to decide how each one of them is going to be like. Talkris and I each play one anothers watchers, and each of us choose what our chars watchers would be like. Thus, now everyone chooses the specs of there watchers, and I merely play them.

2006-10-17 [Estantia]: in which case I may as well play my own watcher and let them develop...

2006-10-17 [Fizban]: >_>...Umm,...heh, lol. That doesn't work to well. We don't want anyone doing that, then its just like your playing with yourself, and I don't even want to go into that...loyl.

We want developments between characters, and players. No one wants to see a thousand posts between themselves, and themselves. if they did they would just go read a book...lols.
