"Miyabi-san!" That was all that was heard before, the small shinigami female wrapped her arms around Miyabi's waist. "I'm so happy you're all right!" Shiori let go and straightened up. She had bags under her eyes and looked a little pale, like she hadn't been sleeping for days. Her fingers were banadged and she blushed when Miyabi glared at them. "Oh this? Don't worry, I was just researching on Shiro and Shinji's ideas. Maybe what Shiro said he could, is possible. In fact he asked me to look it up just in case someone had tried the same thing. But that's another story. I brought gifts!" She grinned and held up the bags. Shiori pulled out 3 sets of clean clothes, 1 being an elaborate kimono with a design of cherry blossoms, and a smaller wrapped package. "We have a small ceremony for coming up, so you should wear this, and don't open the package until later. You'll love it! Oh... and this is from Taki. She handed over another uniform. She said the seamstress gave it over." She had pulled another wrapped package from her bag and put into on the table, beside Miyabi.
"Shi-sama, I could have given it over myself." Taki called from the doorway, nervously looking at Byakuya. She was scared of him. She shrugged before walking in quickly and taking the side of Miyabi's bed, as far from him as she could. "I know that you didn't order it, but Khi wanted you as his vice captain, so he ordered this especially for you. He also told me that he and Yura will visit you later. As for the 'secret' gift, I was the one to steal it, so don't tell him ok?" She giggled and shook the package, that Shiori had placed on the bed. "This makes us equal, for him trying to brag about getting a gift from Shi-sama when he was sick..." She smiled and patted Miyabi, "Hope you are feeling better! Don't scare us again, ok?"
Miyabi's heart lightened at Shi-chan's appearance and she hugged her back. "I won't." She looks at the beautiful Kimonos and smiles. "Shi-chan what is the occasion?" She looks up at Shiori and has had a blush upon her cheeks the whole time.
'Why is Byakuya so nice to me? I've seen him around certainly.. but he's never spoken with anyone lower than himself unless nessicarry.' She looks over at him as he watched everyone. She smiles gently and goes back to Shiori.
Artemis walked toward the Taicho and fuku taicho's office knocking on the door just incase Yura and Khi where busy.
Yura being the only one in the office he calls for the knocker to come in. "It's open!" He looks up as the door opens. "Yes?"
Artemis walked in and blinked. "is taicho not here?" she asked.
"He's gone for a personal errand right now. Can I help you?" He looks at Artemis curiously.
'My love has gone to the hospital for a check up to make sure he's healthy enough! :D' Yura feels like he's going to bounce off the walls but it doesn't show.
Artemis walked past yura and went to her desk. "did he not leave any paperwork for me either?" she asked.
Shiori smiled, back at Miyabi. "It's just a cherry blossom festival. Not that big but me, Khi, Yura and Takashi-sama nearly always prepare something. Sometimes there are every competitions! Khi and Yura started a ban kai comp and me and Taki are entered in the dancing comp. Wanna join, that is if you feeling better?" The short shinigami was so excited! Khi had said there was a secret he and Yura wanted to tell her and Miyabi as soon as they were both ready, and she knew the festival was gonna be the perfect time. She just hoped that Miyabi-san was healthy by then. Shiori walked over to Byakuya and grinned, "You will be entering your paintings right, Kuchiki-sama?"
Taki smiled and moved the clothing out of the way, "You're talking to the reigning champ in the Summer Festival Dance Competition. Shi-sama has won it more times than any other female shingami. Her dancing is .... beautiful ...." She sighed, then narrowed her eyes. "I bet Shiro would be there watching to ..." She froze then smiled, "Maybe you would like to enter with us?"
Miyabi blushed "I can't dance. If it's alright and if I have time I may want to enter my drawings. I'd like to see how well they'd do in a competition.." she looks at her side table side geturing toward her notebook.
Taki looked at the notebook and picked it up, "May I look? I can't draw that well so I always like to look at others' drawings. They are probably very beautiful, right?"
The tips of Miyabi's ears become pink "Well.. Judge for yourself." As soon as Taki opened the book Beautiful colorful and black and white pictures were seen.
"Woah..." Taki was speechless as she continued to flick through page after page, filled with rea life sketches and drawings. Buildings of the human world and people, flowed over the white paper, until Taki paused. "This is of Takashi-sama, no?" She placed the book on Miyabi's lap and pointed at the smiling man. "You do nude paintings, regularly?" she asked, smiling a little.
Miyabi angered so much that she had forgotten that picture she makes a grab to rip the page out and tear it up. Unable to do so she moves her glare away from the page so she doesn't have to look at it anymore. "No. I don't."
"Please excuse me." Byakuya stood and began to walk out and turned to shiori. "Captain, please remind your friends of their post and to stay out of the business of others, My private affairs are just that, private." Byakuya turned and looked at a small closet in the corner of the room and exited. In that room sat several paintings from 50 years earlier. "I haven't tuched a canvas in a long time."
Miyabi had hoped that Byakuya would have shooed them out and sighed as he had left her in the clutches of Taki. "please give that back." her cheeks are beet-red by now and she was upset.
Shiro and Shinji were in a battle for their lives against eachother. "So father, tonight you get your job back officially. If you plan on killing the traitor at the ceremony you have to live through my attacks first." Shiro taunted his father but was knocked to the ground by a quickstep punch. "Son, you are too cocky, but you are right about one thing, the festival tonight, I have to get ready for it." Takashi walked off to dress in his original uniform. "Damn it, he can punch hard!" Shiro got himself up and looked at his soul slayer. "We have to get that good." He straightened himself up and walked off to find Shiori.
Taki dropped the book, when she spied Byakuya's cold look at Shiori. She bowed and walked over, "Shi-sama, are you alright?"
"Yes, I am fine. I guess I was a little too rude, prying in Kuchiki-sama's private matters. Next time I will be more polite, yes?" She turned and bowed at Miyabi, grabbing Taki's hand, "Miyabi-san, we shall be going now? So you can rest?"
Miyabi took her book back. "yes thank you... Wait.. Taki Shi-chan did you guys see any pictures you think should be in the contest? I can't decide what to put in.."
Shiori looked so confused as Taki answered for them. "The sketch of Takashi and Byakuya under the cherry blossom, is definetly my favourite. Though Yura and Khi was cute too." She smiled, and winked at Miyabi. "Our hands hold onto things that our heart cannot let go, right? She grinned and nodded before pulling the confused Shiori out of the room.
Miyabi looks at those pictures again and sighs. "perhaps I'll just submit them all..." She closes the book and sets it back upon her night stand. She gets out of bed and looks out the window at the sakura blossoms floating by again. She gains an idea and grabs her book. She takes a moment and then begins to draw again.
Shiroi still looked confused as Taki dragged her down the hallway. She dug her sock-covered feet so that they could slow down. She sighed when they stopped, but didn't point out that Taki was still holdig her hand. "I'm sorry but what were you two talking about? Kuchiki-sama and Takashi-sama? Yura-ni and Khi-rin were what?
Takashi runs across Khi on his way back to his place to change. "Khi-san, I needed to talk to you, this makes things quite convienient. Tonight I wanted to prepair you for something that is not to be expected. How do you think the divisions are doing, captains are loyal as ever no? Hehehe What were you doing at the medical center?" Takashi Looked over at the building hoping there was nothing wrong with his old friend and fellow captain.
Shiro was running around like a headless chicken looking for Myabi or shiori, he just happened to run into shiori when he remembered Miyabi was in Byakuya's home. "OY RIRI-CHIN! hey, I wanted to ask you if you would be one of my dates for tonight!" He winked at her and gave a wide smile. "You and Miyabi, I would ask Taki but she scared me alittle, hehehe sorry Taki. I'll be by to get you guys later, so be ready!" Shiro didn't bother to wait for a reply as he kept going to ask or tell Miyabi the same thing. "OY Mimi-san!"
