Byakuya pushed Miyabi back down with his forefinger on her forehead. "Baka, you are exhaused and barely able to stand. You are going to stay in that bed until the doctor says it is okay for you to leave and not a minute sooner. If you can't do that I will stay here and make sure you stay still." Byakuya stood over by a window and stared at her again, he then turned his gaze up to the moon.
Miyabi gets a bit frusterated. "Well.. Well.. I have to pee!" She exclaims and blushes furiously. "And I will be damned if I have to use a bed pan!" >.<
Byakuya looked at her and called in a female servant. "If you want to go then she will escort you. If you try anything suspicious, in your current state she will alert me and I will personally come to get you. Remember my name isnt the quickstep kind for nothing. Takashi-sama is no match for me, I am the fastest in all of soul society. Now please take her to the rest room and make sure she doesnt try to get away. By the way Miyabi, I WILL notice the sudden change in reatsu if you use quick step and I will not only track you, but catch you. You have been warned." Byakuya stared her down again and the servant walked her out.
Miyabi is a little startled at his exclamation. She blushes more and stares at him shocked. The kind maid servant helped her where ever she needed help and thanked her. Once she is out of the bathroom and on her way back she tests him and attempts a small quickstep moving 5 feet infront of her. She manages to move only 2 at the moment and looks around waiting for him to show up if he did so.
While Miyabi is looking around Byakuya taps her shoulder from behind her and quicksteps in front of her. when she turns back around he closes his eyes and softly but sternly says "Don't try to test me. I don't have time for your games." He picked her up, brought her to the room and laid her in the bed. "Now if you don't mind rest and get well. This time no more games." Byakuya sat back at the window and looked toward the moon again.
Miyabi smiles at him and settles down to try resting. She found sleep easilly but her dreams weren't as easy. She screams in her sleep and sits up drenched in sweat and her cheeks are wet with tears.
'What happened? Who was that man?' She wipes her tears quickly and notices that her clothes are changed.
"not suffering from malnutrition are you? You have been asleep for two days you know. So what were you dreaming, you scream alot in your sleep." Byakuya came over and handed her a towel.
Miyabi blinks in surprise.
'I've been asleep for 2 days?' "I can't remember.. There was a man.. that's all I can remember.." She holds the towel and stares at it as if it had her dream in it's very fibers and she would see it there. She drys her face off and looks up at him. She moves over and motions for him to sit. "I think that lack of sleep may have something to do with the 2 days of sleep that I have had."
"Now do you mind telling me what it is that has had you so exhausted for so long? There is a reason you havent been sleeping and eatting. Baka you could kill yourself like that." Byakuya stands near her with his back turned. He looks out the window at a Sakura tree in his garden.
"I've had no time I guess. Training for.. him.. and doing all the paper work that he didn't do while he was off in the human world for more than a month." She looks down sadly.
'Does he want to continue our quiet relationship? I don't think I'll be able to.. I wish he were still himself.. I think I still love him.. It was so hard dealing with his death and now that he's alive he doesn't even want to be near me.' A small tear finds it's way down her cheek and sits upon the underside of her chin.
Byakuya quietly listened. He sees the tear and wipes it off of her chin. "If he is the reason for all your pain, don't you think its time you let him go? I know what that pain of loss is like, it takes alot to get over but you can move on, if you want to." Byakuya turned and walked away leaving a sakura blossom on Miyabi's lap. He walked over to a window outside the room that was opened and breathed in the fresh air.
"I was trying to get over him when he came back to life.." She looks at the beautiful flower and smells it blushing a bit.
'I can't do it. I can't be with him. If I stay with him he'll be the death of me. I know it.' "I don't think you know how hard it is to let someone go and have them come back to life.. You worry over them for a time until they awaken and they tell you to go away. Not even an 'I love you' just 'please exscuse me'." she dries her eyes and looks up at him. She feels the breeze in the room and sighs a little.
"No but I do know what it is to lose that person after only a short time together. But you have to be like the Sakura blossom. It is most beautiful after it is released from the branches of the trees. That is when it is free to dance on the wind." Byakuya looks out the window again at the hundreds of blossom pettals blowing in the wind.
Artemis again found herself sitting on the ground of the training area panting for breath. "i can't do it ooka." she said between breaths. i spould tell khi taicho to get someone else to be his fukutaicho." she said as the large black red and orange wolf appered before her its fur spickey.
Miyabi blushes and takes his words to heart. "I think he already knows that I will not return to him the way I did when he woke up." She sees a sakura floating by the window and goes over to look out the window at the sight. An amazed gasp ecapes her. "Oh wow.." She smiles at the sight of the flowers dancing by.
"Look at how free they are. Free to ride the wind however they want. They belong riding the wind, where they are most beautiful and happy. Just like people, we should be free to do what makes us happy and not have to worry about anything or anyone else." Byakuya doesn't once stop staring at the blossoms. He closses his eyes and then looks back out the window in silence.
Miyabi looks at him. "And what makes you happy Byakuya?"
"Did you just call me by my first name?" Byakuya is confused by Miyabi calling him Byakuya. He is used to being called Kuchiki-Taicho or Kuchiki-sama. It has been a long time since he was addressed by his first name. "What makes me happy you ask? I do not even know that." Byakuya looks back out the window remembering his late wife. He remembered being happy with her but could not remember how it felt.
Miyabi raises her eyebrows. "Is it your first name? I heard it somewhere. I think.." She looks back out the window. "Perhaps once I am better you and I can go and have fun?" She shrugs.
'What would he think fun? Bar hopping, training?'
"How about we go do something I enjoy then. Follow me." Byakuya leads her out to the spot they were just watching. He has one of the house servents bring out a blanket and a tea set along with a small meal. The two sat and ate in silence amongst the flying flower. Byakuya's hair was blowing in the wind as he sipped his tea. "I like this, it's calm, peaceful. The opposite of the battlefield." He sat silent again sipping his tea with his eyes closed.
Miyabi enjoys the breeze but is slightly chilled. She smiles the curls of her hair lifted in the wind. "I like this very much. It's not often that I get to relax and enjoy things." She sips her tea and sets her cup down. She glances at the meal that shes barely touched and blushes at how little she's eaten. Though she feels full.
