Stats

<img:http://elftown.heddate.com/img/drawing/23372_1107056695.jpg?y=250>

      This is Hector, a Troll character RPed by [lvlercy]. Say hello... Okay, now Hector is a Soldier, which is his combat classification (or class for short). The class determines everything about how a character will perform and develop.

Stat Identification

      Typically you will see an assortment of numbers on a character sheet, such as the list below. What does it all mean? Well, those display the strengths and weaknesses of the character depending on the class and other assorted bonuses of trades and race, or in rare cases armament can effect the stats.

-Strength: # (Average)
*Accuracy: # (Average)
-Endurance: # (Average)
*Agility: # (Average)
-Speed: # (Average)
*Stamina: # (Average)
-Magic: # (Average)
*Faith: # (Average)

      Obviously, this means little to you now. But with a brief explanation of each, it will mean more for when you decide to choose your class.

-Strength
      Strength is the physical prowess of your character. The higher the strength, the heavier the weapons your character will be allowed to carry. This is a wonderful advantage, but in Hector's case it is also his disadvantage as will be explained later. (*Note: Overstretching the boundary of strength will result in quick loss of stamina.)

*Accuracy
      Accuracy is what expert members know as the end all stat. The higher this stat is, the more likely you will kill (or if it is your enemy's, more likely you will be killed). High amounts of this stat will almost insure that your attacks will always hit their target.

-Endurance
      Endurance is the physical limits of your character. The higher the endurance, the heavier the armor your character will be allowed to carry. The higher this stat is, the less likely your character will be killed in combat. (*Note: Overstretching the boundary of endurance will drop agility and speed sequentially.)

*Agility
      Much like an opposite of Accuracy, the higher this stat is the less likely enemies will be able to hit you. Greater amounts of this are incredible annoying to those who depend on physical attacks to kill enemies. Agility is the defensive additive for when someone targets with accuracy additive. In most cases, a high agility level spells out lower endurance and health.

-Speed
      Speed is the movement of a character, also the first stat in determining turn assignment in a party. Speed is a very useful trait to have because it allows your character to easily counter hostile situations in the planning phases, though many times characters neglect its usefulness and opt for more power.

*Stamina
      Stamina is the stress limits of your character. Whenever powerful strikes or unique traits are used, stamina is drained little by little. Higher stamina means much better combat performance, because it allows your character to act easily with plenty of reserves left before Fatigue. (*Note: Overusing stamina will cause the "Fatigue" ailment, which will drop strength dramatically.)

-Magic
      In all things magic related, this stat is the ultimate. The higher this stat, the more magically powerful a character is and typically the more deadly they are to even the most agile or tough of opponents. Expert members know that the higher this stat is, the more dangerous the battle will be because most high level spells effect everything including the caster.

*Faith
      Faith is much like stamina, except it is the emotional stress limit of your character. Whenever spells are casted in abnormal ways or rare unique traits are used, faith is drained little by little. Higher Faith normally means less vulnerable to sound effects or better spellcasting performance, because it allows your character to cast a certain spell in several unique ways.

Stat Power Levels

      Power levels of stats range in the common from 1 to 6, though numbers can reach up to 10 for mortals or 15 for deities. In rare cases, special conditions such as fractions/decimals of numbers or negatives of stats occur, but this is typically only with monsters. The chart above shows a (Average) next to numbers, this is where the power level of the stat is displayed and will be what to look for because not all numbers display what they mean.

0 = None...
0.1 - 0.9 = Very Low
1 = Low
2 = Average/Low
3 = Average
4 = Average/High
5 = High
6 = Very High
7 = Very High!
8 = Superior
9 = Legendary
10 = God-like
---
11 = Elite
12 = Godly
13 = Omni
14 = Cosmic
15 = Universal

      As you can tell, don't mess with 11-15. That's normally an indicator that they are way out of your league. Most deities will only range from 11-13, however the most ancient and superior of deities will have 14 and 15 stats. But for common purposes, fear anything 6/7+ for defaulted combat.

Power and Weakness

      For Fantasma, all power comes with some sort of weakness. There is no such thing as a superior and unbeatable character, so don't attempt it. At best, Characters can only reach a sense of balance between these forces ranging around 4 in average of stats. To get an idea about strengths and weaknesses, here is a list of some of the more powerful Fantasma character's stats.

<img:http://elftown.heddate.com/img/drawing/23372_1107056695.jpg?y=250>
Hector (Troll buddy)
-Strength: 5 (High)
*Accuracy: 3 (Average)
-Endurance: 3 (Average)
*Agility: 2 (Average/Low)
-Speed: 3 (Average)
*Stamina: 4 (Average/High)
-Magic: 3 (Average)
*Faith: 3 (Average)

      As you can see, 3 is indeed the average. Hector is rather strong for a default character, but his agility is his weakness. He cannot evade attacks well, and so he suffers from that in combat. Advice for character like him would be avoid high accuracy characters.

Pumpkinhead (Most powerful Fantasma Character, 2004)
-Strength: 2 (Average/Low)
*Accuracy: 3 (Average)
-Endurance: 4 (Average/High)
*Agility: 3 (Average)
-Speed: 5 (High)
*Stamina: 3 (Average)
-Magic: 7 (Very High!)
*Faith: 3 (Average)

      From his stats, you can see why he has the title of "Most Powerful Fantasma Character, 2004". But even this ultimate of demonic power is not without weakness, for his strength is lower but shows that not all characters need strength to win in combat. This profile is typical of characters who reach their zenith of class, but as stated before the absolute maximum any character can reach in stats cannot exceed a 10.
