Advanced Attacks

This is Hector, a Troll character RPed by [lvlercy]. If you have read the first part of this tutorial, you would know he is armed with a rather large weapon called a Great Maul or for technical purposes, an Iron Big Two-Handed Hammer. Now his opponent is the basic Fantasma Monster: Skeleton Fighter. Little more than bones with a sword and shield.

Jumping Attack and Weapon Breaking

Advanced attacks are usually costly for use, as they drain stamina quickly if overused. Normally they drain one stamina per use, but in certain cases they can take two if certain weather conditions or spells are in effect. Now, we'll have Hector start with the jumping attack, where he will leap into the air and crash down upon his opponent. Not only does this attack allow Hector to move forward a certain distance, but it also will knock over/stun his target if indeed he were to hit. However, because it is easier to avoid than a regular attack, it can be somewhat risky to use.

Wait!!!

Before Rolling, you must be aware that some heavier armors will not allow this attack. Hector is only in regular lammellar armor, so he is in the clear. Remember, armor is a big issue when you're trying to leap distance.

Hector rolls... 6 - 1 for jumping attack + Hector's Accuracy of 3, the total number equals 8.

Skeleton rolls... 5 + Skeleton's Agility of 3, the total number equals 8

This is a tie roll, which means the skeleton goes into an automatic defend mode. Hector's hammer does far more damage with the jumping attack involved, so unlike the instance before where the skeleton barely staved off the attack, this time it defends with its sword breaking under the stress.

The skeleton has no weapon, which you might find as a difficult predicament and sometimes this can cause an immediate loss in combat. However, for the purposes of this tutorial, we'll have him be armed with an extra weapon. A dagger will suit just fine.

Power Attack

Now its obvious that the skeleton cannot do any significant damage to Hector with just a simple dagger. However, there is hope for Mr. Bones, it is called the power attack. With stamina use, the skeleton fighter can add into his attack half of his total strength level. Now that means that a soldier or warrior class can really benefit from this sort of attack, but because it is so powerful there is a slight accuracy drop which means it can be avoided easily.

Skeleton Rolls... 3 + Skeleton's Accuracy of 3 - 1 for the Power Attack, the total number equals 5

Hector Rolls... 2 + Hector's Agility of 1, the total number equals 3

Hector's armor has a slight cutting damage resistance, but since the skeleton's attack does an additional 1.5 damage (Half of average strength level, or 3) then his dagger actually does 2.5 damage instead of its normal 1. That is over twice as much damage than a normal strike, and used sometimes to break through resistance or simply to give a little extra for a kill hit.

Berserking

Now its Hector's turn again, and he wants to end this battle quickly. The troll is willing to use all of his stamina to defeat this single opponent once and for all. Now this attack requires multiple rolling, for each strike, and for every strike above the first, one stamina must be used. Hector is going to use a x3 Berserk, which will take his remaining 2 stamina. (*Note: When Stamina = 0, then the character becomes "Fatigued" which means their strength level goes down every time they attack, and if strength level goes to 0, then the character goes into exhaution or "knocked out" status. So use stamina wisely...)

Hector Rolls... 3 + Hector's Accuracy of 3, the total number equals 6

Hector Rolls... 5 + Hector's Accuracy of 3, the total number equals 8 (Uses 1 Stamina)

Hector Rolls... 6 + Hector's Accuracy of 3, the total number equals 9 (Uses 1 Stamina)

Skeleton Rolls... 2 + Skeleton's Agility of 3, the total number equals 5

The Skeleton is battered three times by Hector's heavy hammer. This is overkill, obviously since the skeleton has barely enough health to take just one hit. Normally this is a last stitched effort to defeat an opponent, and should only be used as a last resort simply because it can leave your character very vulnerable should it fail. Berserks can go above 3, but generally will irritate other characters or monsters and make you character a quick target for harrassment.
