Description

Jana Praenestins was a purely military bound woman with undeniable skills in assasinations of the dark and unholy. However, the Centran's near extinction at the hands of the Undead Plague nearly claimed her life if not for the allies that pushed her into the last transport to be saved. The remainder of her ancient life was devoted to sleeping in cryogenic statis till a day in the future that she would be left to live.

The night she would awake was to be a night of terror instead of celebration. The world had changed during her ages of cold sleep. The hibernation chambers of her allies had been ravaged, broken and their bones picked. She new it was a recent battle, for the blood was still wet. Jana rose from her weakened state to find a lone Automoton with a spear jammed into its body at the foot of her chamber. Still partially operational, Jana dismantled the damaged sections and took the Automoton with her to hunt for the creatures that had eaten her comrades.

With the Automoton as her witness to the atrocity, she eventually found the carnivorous creatures. A grouping of monsters not known to her at all, but she took a sniping position and one by one assasinated each one of the creatures before any could retreat to safety. Upon examining the bodies, she soon realised a demon was controlling these creatures. As a Centran, she indeed knew what a demon was and how to hunt for them.

Jana hunted the demmon for what seemed to be decades throughout the desert wastelands of Centra. When she finally caught up to the demon, she came to know it as the Incubus Ardad, hunter of travelling women. The two battled each other for hours in the night, but at dawn's light the demon escaped and the automoton ally of Jana was destroyed during the conflict. Now alone and with little information of help in this world, she searched for new allies.

Her remaining years carried her overseas, with the suspicion of evidence gathered by Jana from psychics and demon hunters who gave her clues, but never aided her journey beyond information. She learned new languages, hired herself as a mercenary, battled in arenas, and became a famous name throughout the new world continent of Adon. Having set her sights on finding the Incubus that had her kin slain, this nomad continues to wander in search of the vile essence.
