Featured member interview: [Iske]
-Name : Iske_
-Age : soon 37 (born on the 15 th of march 1971) Fossil lol_
-Place of Living : Belgium in a small town in Vlaams Brabant (= kinda like a state)_
-Occupation : teacher , but for know I do Homecare, that’s taking care of sick kids at their own place._
-What are your hobbies? Being creative with pencils and all kinds of paint, trying to make nice shots which I do or not try to improve with PS, started music school a few months ago. And if I have some time left I like to go for a walk, music plugged into my ears and camera ready for shootin’ lol_
-How did you end up on Elftown? Funny actually , I was looking for pictures of dragons and elves on the net and came upon a very cool one. So I checked the site it came from and found out I could not see it all without having a profile first so……………_
-What do you like most about fantasy: writing, images, reading etc. Living in it hehehehe_I like images, drawings , paintings … about fantasy .it is a world were everything is possible. It is a way to escape the real life from time to time. You can create an image or atmosphere were we all can be ourselves, no matter were you’re from, or what your goals are in life . _In poems you can give words another meaning, you can personalize a sentence to something so cool or deep, just by giving that one touch that makes it your own. And the fun part of it all is.. you can share it with the world and they understand. We on Et do anyway…_
-Questions about the content of the house:
*How were the graphics/pictu
res made? _Drawings with pencils, painted in oil or acrylic, watercolour aquarelle_Digiart : done on Photoshop_Pictures taken with a small canon digicam I got for Christmas a year ago_
*Tell more about the poems on your house. _There are not a lot of poems yet, the reason for that is: English is not my main language, I’m Flemish speaking, and sometimes it is not that easy to get the right feeling into a poem in another language. I’m trying to but it will take time __
*How often do you update it? I try to update it at least once a week, depends on : do I have a great picture or is one of my drawings done_or did I get a fantastic poetic idea during the night.. hahahahaha
-What is it you do mostly on Elftown? (chat/build/wikis etc.) One day I watch houses and chat with my friends and another day I build a wiki or clean out my house_
*Is there a particular thing you like about Elftown, such as a specific wiki? _I really enjoyed the drawing contest (the HIT … can’t think of the name …pfffff) between the big ones on ET. I always was amazed about the amount of great awesome work those artist shared with us._And I’m so happy with one specific contest “Kura's Color Contest” It was one I felt good about . It gave all kind of elftowners the chance to tribute . There are more of those but I did not find them all yet._There are more wiki’s but too many to write them all down_I think like the most of the Elftowners I guess : it is a cool place for similar creative souls
-Is there a member whose house you really like yourself? Why do you like that house? _Artsie_ladie*: hers changes a lot when there is another theme or so, and not only the top pictures , she makes her house so full of stuff adjusted to one theme… It must take her ages to get it like that…_nathie : his work makes me breathless (not because it are all good looking guys) He is just amazing in what he does… _
-Have any critique/comments/suggestions/admiration etc. on a specific Elftown matter? _Not really on an ET matter,Don’t know exactly how to explain I don’t like those house with not one creative thing in it. It is not a dating site. It does not matter what you do, draw a matchstick man or write a story about a flying pig… be creative or move to another more specific dating side
-What is your message to all Elftowners? _Creativity is a personal issue, What you feel when you create something, no matter what, a drawing, a photograph ,a poem is all yours .It is your way of expressing yourself. If you feel good about your work, don’t let others put it down. They can’t know what the deep personal meaning is behind your work. They can give you tips and some educating advice. But remember; YOU are GOOD in what YOU do. Keep up the good work_.
