Chapter One
It was more than just a story. The realm of ice did exist. However, no one knew where to find it. No one, that is, except Princess Zelda.
One day, she wandered through Hyrule, searching for an escape. Heading close to the mountains the provided the unseen barrier between Startica and Hyrule, she met Ayumi, a young girl from Startica. Zelda spoke with the young girl, and they set off to the frozen realm.
Startica was not completely ice. It was a beautiful realm that always seemed covered by some kind of mystical frost. There wasn't any snow, and the temperature was just cold enough to keep the frost formed. Ayumi was the daughter of the Shaman Ryu, whom was also the leader of the Ice People. These people lived among a lakeside village called Hyoukai, which originally means Frozen Sea.
Aside from this village, there were many others. This realm was unlike the rest. It had forests of ice trees, beautiful mountains, no castle, nor no castle town. The lake was fed by a river that came down from the mountains, thus being the only water supply. However, there was no daylight here. The stars shone brightly all the time, thus aside from being known as the Ice Realm, it was also know by all it's people as the Land of Stars. However, the cruel fate that was about to be bestowed upon this beautiful land was not a good one. It would take the hopes and dreams of a young girl, her friend and protector and the help of an old Hero to save this realm.
Link wandered through the Sakura forest, lost beyond all reason. It was a bit chilly in this part of the forest, much more chilly than when they had crossed this weird border. He travelled with Linh, who stayed by his side constantly. He was always happy he had her companionship, as well as her love. Without her, being a Hero of Hyrule would probably be the most boring job in the world.
Linh smiled shyly and looked around the Sakura Forest.The cherry blossems gave her a sense of peace as she walked along side link. She gently grabed links hand and and smiled at him.
Link smiled at her, still wandering through the forest. There was a slight chill in the air, and he shuffled closer to Linh, to offer her a sense of warmth.
Meanwhile, on the outskirts of the forest, there was the Minna river. There was also a young girl sitting by the river, looking somewhat dazed and very lonely.
Linh smiled yet again and looked about the forest."It's peaceful here isn't it!"she said happily. Her blue eye's gazed through out the forest.
"Indeed it is, Linh." Link smiled at her and walked out of the forest, looking around at the rest of the landscape. It was then he noticed the young girl looking out at the river. "I wonder...who she could be."
THe girl, who's name was Aura, looked up after hearing voice. She turned her head slightly and looked back into the river after realizing who it was.
linh smiled.
Link took Linh's hand and continued walking towards the river. "hello, miss."
Aura slowly looked up at him. "I've not seen your face here before, whom are you two?"
"I-I'm linh and this is link."Linh said.
"My name is Aura. It is truly a pleasure to meet you..." Her voice almost sounded indifferent. Link nodded in agreement and looked around. "How long does it stay cold here?"
"Newcomers? It's always cold here. The frost usually never melts here..."
Linh looked at link and sighed."I hate the cold!" she said.
Link nodded. "I know." He took of the jacket he was wearing and gave it to Linh, shuddering slightly from the sudden chill.
A dark shadow cast over them, and a young girl with long jet black hair landed in front of Aura, quickly putting away her angelic wings. Her hair was pulled into a tight braid, and her eyes flashed at Link and Linh before looking at Aura. "You ready to come home yet?" This girl was wearing nothing more than a white tank-topped dress, despite the temperatures.
Linh huged link."thankyou
."she said happily.
lee walked twords the group."Hay...who are they arua?"He asked.
Aura looked at Lee and Ayumi. "Ayu, Lee, meet Link and Linh. They're newcomers here."
Ayumi gave a slight shiver, hearing Lee's voice. She looked over at him.
Link waved some, in acknowledgement. "We heard it never thaws here, from Aura. IS that true?"
"Apparently you have no clue where you are. From where do you hail from?" Ayumi's eyes seemed to glow red for a minute.
"We come from ordan village it's part of hyrule."Linh said."Well link comes from there I really don't know where I come from."
Aura stood up and looked at Ayumi and Lee again. "I guess it is time for us to head home." Her gaze wandered back to Link and Linh. Out of kindness, this next question came. "Would you like to stay at our village for a night or so?"
Ayumi shifted her weight, her eyes now glowing green.
"I really don't mind but it's up to link."Linh said simply.
Lee sighed and leaned twords ayumi."I don't trust these people."He wispered to her.
Ayumi nodded slowly, agreeing with him. Her eyes changed to a dark blue, almost matching the color of the night sky.
Link shrugged. "It would be nice, probably save us from freezing to death. We'll head home tomorrow or the day after." he smiled at Linh.
linh smiled back and nodded.
Ayumi turned and started walking back towards the village, following the river. Aura followed closely behind the two, wondering how Ayumi always managed to stay warm when it was freezing out.
Link looked at Linh, taking her hand and following behind Aura.
Lee was beside arua and he sighed hevily.
Linh walked along with link leaning againts him gently.
Thus, the group of 5 walked towards the village, which was surrounding a lake.
