32028) Edgar Allan Poe, best work? (Note: there is a very good reason 'The Raven' is not included on this poll...if you really want to know, feel free to ask...auch, if your favourite - other than 'The Raven' is not on here, message me to add it.) If you have not read any Poe, please do not vote merely because you recognise one of the titles, thank you.

2008-08-01 [NOOOPE]: Tell-tale heart, baby. I was planning on memorizing it and the raven to recite at random times and scare the shit out of people. I loooove reading the tell-tale heart out loud. The way he writes it... you don't have to act when you read it, it does the acting for you... the pacing of the words, the repetition.

HOLY SHIT, so, at this used book story down town that I LOOOVE they have a book of poetry which was the first book to publish a version of the Raven. It's worth 1500 dollars, and the moment I get rich for writing creepy literature of my own, it's mine, baby!

Oh! I should take a picture of the Edgey portrait I made with feathers, rags and foam bowls. It makes me happy.

2008-08-27 [windowframe]: Woah, I should watch my own polls. XP

2008-09-24 [Falx]: I have to go with Masque. It has always held a special place in my heart for creep factor. ^_^

2008-09-24 [windowframe]: It was a good one, indeed. :3

2008-09-24 [NOOOPE]: What're yours, [windowframe]?

2008-09-25 [windowframe]: Metzengerstein, Berenice, the Masque of the Red Death and the Fall of the House of Usher. :) Though the Tell-tale heart is good too. The Alan Parsons Project have an album called Tales of Mystery and Imagination, which, as you might guess from the title, are musical interpretations of some of Poe's works. They do The Raven, the Tell-Tale Heart, the Fall of the House of Usher, and The Cask of Amontillado - amongst others - but those are the only ones I can remember off the top of my head. Everyone should give it a listen. :3

2009-05-13 [Kitailec]: I really like Edgar. I just got done doing a big essay on him for school. We had to pick a world happening or an author. I think I was the only one to not do one on things happening around the world. (: I really enjoyed doing, though. We had to do a Power Point, too, so I thought it was fun.

The Black Cat...I really like it.
And Annabel Lee. Of course, that's a poem.
