What is it?!
In November my company, Featherfall (http://www.fea
He will be a 61 cm boy - and his story will be released alongside his pictures.
The contest, to commemorate his launch, will run from now until Dec. 15th, 2007 -- and winners
will be announced on FF's 1st anniversary, January 1st, 2008.
The contest - Create an outfit for FINN ( a male doll), with the theme "TIME TRAVELER"!
Here is the chance for those budding fashion designers.
The outfit can be a prototype, or it can simply be a design on paper, submitted to
contest@feathe
RULES:
1. All entries have to be the entrants original design.
2. Multiple entries are allowed, but only one entry per entrant will rank for a prize.
3. Entries should be in full colour, with explanations about each part of the outfit.
4. Accessories not included for judging, as they would be hard to reproduce
5. As this is open to artist of all ages, nothing excessively risque.
Winning outfit designs will become the property of Featherfall - with the right to exclusive reproduction.
Each winning artist will have their bio and portfolio linked from Featherfall, and listed in the credits for the outfit
Outfit designs will be judged on:
- Originality
- Relevance to the theme
- Feasibility to turn into physical clothing

For a while now I’ve been pondering the idea of putting together a companion book of my illustration work. Largely, it covers the art of all three webcomics – Blatah, Nocturnia and Haven: Hathaway, although it also includes some of my random illustrations from other projects. As an extra treat, there are also several stories that give glimpses of the relationship or background of some of the characters that couldn’t really fully be explored in the webcomics. There you’ll find the background of Nocturnia’s Angus and some of his earlier days, when he was young and a lot less jaded; a scene between Liam and Quinn that explains a lot more about their relationship; a sequence between Eggman and Aryck --- and the list goes on! They are some of the writings that couldn’t be fit even in the mailing lists, and most of the art is previously unreleased, so you really are getting a special treat.
How limited edition are the plushies, you ask? I will only be making 2 of each of the characters from the webcomic – I will keep one of the sets as mine, and all the dolls in the other set will be up for grabs! I won’t be making any more of those, so if you do order the book, send me an email (the publisher sends a thank you email when you purchase one, so that would serve as proof of purchase) and you’ll be entered in the draw.
What won’t be included, sadly, are the mature content stories on the ML (unless I edit out a lot of the content…^_^;;) or the mature and yaoi art of the most graphic variety, as I was trying to keep the rating of the book fairly friendly. This is not to discount that there would be a Mature artbook released, but first I want to see if there is interest in that; if you’d be interested in getting to see some of the more graphic art and stories, please email me and let me know!
Also in the works - A Blatah! only artbook that will be released in the spring, celebrating its conclusion, possibly a paper doll book and other goodies. If there’s anything you’d like to see, let me know! I’m very excited about publishing this book, so I hope you guys are too.
