2007-04-27 [Dark Side of the Moon]: Oh my gosh, I just read "How Could You?" and now I can't stop crying. My husband and I want a dog so badly, but our landlord doesn't allow pets...though he didn't know about our bunny when we had her! *sneaky* This story just makes me want a dog even more, no matter where he comes from or what "kind" he is. I would love a mutt just as much as a pure breed. Thank God for dogs. He knew how faithful they would be to us when He made canines.

2007-04-28 [Artsieladie]: Yeah, I get an occasional fun one to share. :D One of the biggest problems is this scenario. Not only do many landlords oppose renting allowing pets, but so often people that find a place to rent that allows pets, come to the day when they have to move for one reason or another, & then they can't find another place to live that does allow pets. Finding a place to rent that allows pets is very difficult. Landlords want to minimize their liabilities as well as possible damages, often due to ignorant people's irresponsibility in the past. Sometimes, I have known cases, though few, where, if the tenants are able &/or willing to put more down, the landlord will concede, but with additional provisions &/or stipulations. When it comes to purebreds or mutts, I prefer mixed breeds or mutts, actually. I can't remember my life w/o a pet, usually a few or many. Not only of my own, which were rescues, but many others while I looked for a new good home for them. Many, many times, it has been very hard to give them up to their new home, but I knew I could not keep them all.
