Outskirts of The Sand
Not exactly the Sand Village, not exactly the perimeter of it.. It is just simply the area between two villages.
Miname said nothing more as they passed through the gates and went on their way to the Sand village. It actually wasn't as far away as a lot of people thought it was, as they had expanded their borders over the last 150 years.
"So, Miname... Tell me about yourself." Bakuto was never fond of quiet traveling so he always had someone along with him whenever he left the village, missions included.
"What is there that you actually wish to know about me?" She inquired, glancing towards him with an indifferent expression on her half-hidden face. "There are many things I could easily tell you, but a few of those things, I would have to kill you if I did tell you. It would endanger my life and that of my clan..."
"What ever you wish to share with me." White-haired male responded, smiling slightly under his white mask.
"Very well. You seem trusting enough... I am of the Hiroki clan, one of their few female members to be exact. I am a Takegato Jounin who commits herself to the servitude of Kazekage Masa and the protection of Hidden in the Sand. I do not like children much and I hate it when Nin disrespect others who are higher in rank than they are. Especially if it is one who deserves such respect." Miname said, still occasionally glancing around for any signs of enemies. "I had a twin sister, but she died in the womb, and I was also 'blessed' with this deformity of having furred dog-like ears besides human ones. And, I had an eye stolen from by an enemy when I was fourteen years old."
"Ah, I see. Well, that would be something to use against enemies. A twin type jutsu." Was all he said, he did not find anything so weird about Miname, everything was all too normal to the likes of him. "Ah, crap." He muttered out, reaching into his back pouch and grabbing his two pill bottles. He opened one at a time and poured two of each in his hand before replacing them in his pouch. "I suppose you do not have any water?"
"Of course I do." Miname said, retrieving the flask from her hip and handing it to Bakuto. "A twin type jutsu? I did not think that I would be able to do such a thing. I always thought that both twins had to be alive in order to be able to accomplish such a jutsu."
"Ah, but that is what I meant. If she were alive that would be such a strong jutsu to use against enemies, you'd be such a good asset to your village, more so than now anyways." He popped the pills into his mouth and grabbed the flask, taking a swig of water and leaning his head back as he swallowed. "Cursed pills.. So much trouble. Here." He said, handing the flask back to Miname.
Taking the flash back, she put it back to its original place and nodded at the Konoha Nin's words. "I understand now. And what about you? What do you do and such that is an asset to your Konoha?"
"Why, I keep the Hokage happy and healthy." He chuckled slightly and beat his fist to his chest, coughing slightly. When his moderate episode was done, he placed his hands on the back of his head once more. "Actually, I do a few things around the village. I research illnesses, I patrol the city, I make sure there are no suspicious characters wandering around near the great clans of the village. I also watch over Lilin's younger sister, she wishes nothing bad upon her after what had happened to her older sister. I keep an eye on her and I train up coming genin. Nothing special."
"Oh, but that is special Bakuto-san. I could never stand to train Genin because they are annoying and very inexperienced. Even if I was one long ago, I do not like them. I would rather train with Nin such as you or even higher-class Chunnin." Miname said, smiling slightly.
"Heh.. Nah.. I actually like kids, specially the female children. They really like the jutsus I show them. As you already know from when I stopped your attack earlier, I control Sakura petals.. They get extremely fascinated by me making my Cherry Blossom Beast."
"Interesting technique. Requires an excellent amount of chakra, yes?" Asked Miname, thinking of when her jutsu had been destroyed earlier.
"Much, but I have lot's to give to entertain the kids. I would use it all up entertaining them if I did not have to spend time teaching them. I love seeing them laugh." The white haired male said gently, smiling up into the air.
"Why do you like making them laugh? I never understood the concepts of trying to interfere with training that would only help them to get stronger. My Sensei was never like that. He always thought that training seriously came before playtime." Miname said, glancing away once more, noting they were already nearing the Sand Village. "But, afterwards, we would play pranks on him and if we got caught we would have to do one hundred laps around the village buildings. And had to finish it within two hours.. or else we'd have to start over."
"Well, I guess I'm just a different type of "sensei" then. The way I mainly train them they actually think is fun and entertaining as well. I don't think senseis should always be so serious, it only makes the students not want to be around them and thus a lot of the time just stop trying to impress. Of course I train them hard everyday, but not all day... "
"I was glad for the way my Sensei was. It helped me to become who I am today. I would have it no other way with how Sand Genin are trained." Miname shrugged lightly, seeing a patroller advancing towards them and she halted. "Hm.. why..?" Eyes narrowed as she studied this individual was coming towards them.
"What's this about?" Bakuto asked Miname, turning his gaze while still looking forward. He dropped his arms to his chest, crossing them loosely.
Not answering the male, she reached into her sack and drew out two kunai, at once running towards the advancing man and sending the kunai right through the chest. Glaring coldly at the now corpse, she pushed the face mask of it only to reveal a simple mannequin puppet. "Be on the lookout now. We're being followed." She then took her kunai out of the chest and slipped both weapons back into her bag and continued on.
Bakuto nodded and kicked the puppet slightly as he passed, his gaze trailing back as he looked at the puppet as they got further away. He looked forward once more and placed his hand over his masked mouth, yawning slightly.
"You can rest when we get to the village if you wish, Bakuto. It is up to you." Miname informed him, as the gates and the buildings beyond her village finally came into view. It was a little distance away, but only seemed so due to all of the sand and dunes that made-up the landscape, save for a few shrubs and whatnot.
"No, I'm heading back after I bring you in." He informed quietly, shoving his hands into his pockets and looking at the large sand type wall around the village.
"Ah, I see. I would not expect any less of a Ninja such as you." Miname smiled slightly again, "We're almost to the village now.."
"Wait.. What do you man '
A ninja such as you'?" Bakuto asked quickly, snapping his head towards her as he blinked his eyes.
"Don't get all huffy." She muttered, slightly annoyed due to the fact she was tired from using a lot of chakra. "I meant it as a good thing."
"I'm sorry.." He said gently, ashamed of how he had questioned her.
She shrugged. "No need to apologize. You weren't wrong, but I mean I probably would've questioned what I said the same way.."
Bakuto stopped as they came upon the large sand made wall protecting the village, his gaze drifting back to Miname. "You will be alright this far along, right? I really must get back so I can join in the ninja tournament." He said with a small smile, his eyes half lidded.
"Ah, yes." Miname nodded, turning and watching Bakuto. "Thank you again for coming along. I think that... I really would have been in a lot of trouble if you hadn't come. But, make sure you're careful."
"Ah, no worries. "See you some time later on in life, then!" He called back, making a few hand signs and disappearing in a explosion of smoke, his destination the
Forest of Death.
After Bakuto had left, a sand ninja came heading out of the passage in the wall heading into the village, his blue eyes smiling as he saw that Minime was not hurt, but his lips did not agree with his eyes. Although he was happy she had returned unscathed he simply waved his hand in a gesture for her to hurry into the village... obviously for the Kazekage to recieve his news.
Miname easily caught this gesture and nodded at once, taking off at a quick sprint before leaping onto the wall of the village. It was an easy jump for a Ninja of her stature. With a smile, she easily went to where the Kazekage was, standing in front of him with her arms behind her back. "I have returned with great news, Kazekage-sama.
"
"Ah, really now? Would you mind sharing such news with an old man such as myself?" The Kazekage asked with a bit or amusement in his voice, the rest of complete curiousty of what the Hokage had said. "Come, let's not discuss this out here, though. You never know if their are enemies in the walls." He turned around and headed the rest of the way into the Hidden sand village.
