As you enter the room, you smell rather then see, for the room is too dark. The light from the window can never cut through the darkness cast upon the room, but the smell is so lovely in there. It smells like Cherry Blossoms.
The only person who is fully able to see in the room is Jacob. He sees a bed and next to the bed is the nightstand, holding a delkicate picture of his mother and him as a baby. Next to the Nightstand is the remains of a poor deffenseless plant...Adrinta must've gotten to it.

Val lied on the soft bed that was hers and Jacob's together, but decided to take it over seeing as he was never there.

Adrinta shut the door behind him and turned into his humanoid form. "Rest Val."

Val nodded and dug her way under the blanket inhabiting the bed and dozed off again.

Jacob saw the bed was obscured and sighed. "Stupid Val, didn't even bother to make the bed." He shrugged and laid down in the bed, dozing off.

Adrinta quickly opened the door of the room and looked around. "Jacob, where are you?!?" He shut the door and ran down to the castle baths..

Kovu stepped into the pitch black room. He was barely able to make out lined of items in the room. "Adrinta, is it always this dark?"

The boy nodded and walked over to the bed. "Val?"

Val awoke and looked down at Adrinta, and then to Kovu. "What is it? Is something wrong?"

Adrinta grabbed her hand and helped her off the bed slowly. "No, we just want to spend time with you is all."

Kovu let his sences lead him over to the bed where Val was. He knelt down beside Adrinta while his eyes lifted up to Val's face. For some reason, he caught a glow and was able to see her features, even though it was dim. "I am...sorry about earlier."

"Its not your fault, I was just upset that I got you upset." Val said placing her hand on Adrinta's shoulder lightly, but staring at Kovu. "Besides, I was a little tired anyways." She chuckled.

Adrinta began to play with Kovu's puffytail, not interested in there conversation very much...Just your average 5 year old.

"Oh! You didn't upset me, I just...I...." Kovu shrugged, knowing that he wasn't very good with his words. Instead he sat himself beside Val on the bed, his eyes were slowly adjusting to the light. He flicked his tail playfully for Adrinta's amusement.

Val laid her head back, leaning her upper body weight onto her arms. She nodded. "I know, you were shocked, disturbed, repulsed. Am I right?"

Adrinta began to swat at the puff playfully.

"I didn't know...that someone who is a father would...." The dragon boy pulled his knees up to his chest, letting his tail move about on the floor. "Does...does it still bother you?"

"Thats doesn't bother me anymore. The fact that I could bring myself to fight him is what bothered me the most. I can talk about it like its nothing but....I just want one more chance to do that day over. I would've fough him, I would've kicked him out of the village." She said in a low tone.

Kovu reached down and pulled Adrinta into his lap to give his tail a rest. Still he was not sure what to say, but he decided to just be truthful. "Well, if you hadn't left, I would never have met either of you." He ruffled Adrinta's hair.

"Yeah, I guess thats the reward of my leaving. Meeting you two." Val took the weight off of her arms and sat up, crossing her legs and smiling. "I guess it's worth the humility if I met you and Adrinta. You two are my friends, I wouldn't give that u for the world."

Kovu nodded. Again, he wrapped his tail about himself before letting a yawn excape his mouth. The dimness of the room was now getting to him. "So, how did you and Jacob meet?" He asked in sleepy tones while stroking Adrinta's hair.

"When I was traveling. It seemed as though he was looking for something when I met him Like he was on a mission." Val said hearing Kovu's yawn. "You should get some rest, Kovu."

Adrinta smiled from the stroking of his hair.

"I shouldn't be so tired." He said as he continued petting Adrint'a hair. He looked about the room, seeing only darkness, but smelling fragrances that made him slightly light headed. "Jacob...seems like a father himself. Actually...he feels like a second father to me. I don't know why....That is just the feeling I get."

"Well he is one of the first dragons. I guess its kinda his job to be like a father or a role model to others." Val said looking down at Adrinta, who seemed to be falling asleep in Kovu's arms.

"Yeah, I suppose so." Kovu turned to Val so that his legs were completely on the bed and folded across in indian style. His tail hung off the bed. He smiled as he looked down at Adrinta in his lap who was falling asleep. "And this little one? What is his story?" He continued to run his hand through the child's soft, blue hair.

Val smiled. "You know, I just found him when I was travleing. I always thought he was just a pet of someone's who didn't want him anymore. Till a few months before I arrived at the castle, I had learned her was still just a baby dragon. Till just a few days ago is when he actually started to speak with me." She sdmited. "I guess, theres still a lot to learn about this one."

"He just recently started speaking to you?" Kovu thought that was a little odd. Maybe he was just old enough to speak, but no, that couldn't be because he already spoke so well. Kovu himself remembered when he first met Adrinta just yesterday. A few moments after they met the child transformed and began talking to him.

Val nodded and looked down at Adrinta. "I guess, he's taken a liking to you faster then he did to me." She gave a breif smile and patted Arinta's head. "I guess you can't help it though. You feel safe with people, some more then others, and some you don't feel safe at all around. I'm just glad he feels safe around me and not think of me as a threat."

"I'm sure you could be a threat if you wanted to, but I know that neither Adrinta, nor me, would ever see you as that." Kovu smiled with a soft wave of his tail as he stiffled another yawn. He lay his chin down on Adrinta's hair and fiddled with a piece of string that was loose on the shirt sleeve the child was borrowing.

Adrinta began to shift in his sleep, turniing onto his side and placing his arms up close to hir chin. He mumbled a few words in his sleep.

Val nodded. "Yeah, I guess I could be a threat if I wanted, and I'm glad that neither of you think that." She said witha slight chuckle.

Kovu nodded and leaned back on the bed post. He didn't see the need in saying anything more. Simply lounging in the company of his new friends gave him comfort. His eyes had completely adjusted to the darkness now, but still, the inky black toyed with his mind. Soon, his eyes began to flutter as he desperately hung on to the waking world by focusing his attention on the child in his lap.

"You should get some rest..." Val laid her head back down on the pillow at the top of the bed and yawned. "Its getting a little late."

Kovu's eyes blinked back the sleep he had been trying to achieve. "Yeah, I guess I should." He slid Adrinta off his lap and onto the bed beside Val so that he had plenty of room to cuddle. Kovu knew all too well how this child loved to cuddle. With another wipe of his eyes to push back groginess, he stepped back with a smile. "Goodnight, you two." Then, he left for the door, his tail waving gently behind him.

Val smiled and waved, pulling Adrinta up closer to her. She hugged the boy a went to sleep.

Adrinta wiggled as he got himself closer to Val, whom he thought was Kovu, and smiled up at the sleeping figure's face. He realized it wasn't Kovu and gave an ubrupt, confused yelp. He mmoved himself a little further from her and closed his eyes again, not liking to cuddle with anyone e considered a mother figure to him.

Vikky walked in seeing them sleeping."Miss Val...Miss Val please wake up.."She said standing there.

Adrinta heard the voice and began to morph back into his deffensive dragon state. He sat up and wagged his tail looking at the gryphon, leaping off the bed and giving out a few coos of excitement.

Val sat up sheepishly and looked at Vikky. "What do you want, I'm sleeping."

Vikky backed away a bit from the dog."You have been called upon by lord Fredrick he wants everyone in the dinning hall."She said standing there.

Val sighed and crawled out from under her blankets and stood up. "Adrinta, leave the girl alone. I'm not going out there without Kovu, Vikky."

Adrinta walked over to Val and sat down staring at Vikky.

"I already told him he should be going to the dinning room soon."Vikky said and then left."We'll see you there soon oh and Alex is there already."She said before leaving.

Val crossed her legs, resting her head on her hand and closing her eyes. "Well, I guess it's something important. We should probally go and wait for Kovu outside his room, huh?"

Adrinta sat down and morphed back into his humanoid self again. "Yeah, that'd be good...But if it has anything to do about violence I'm not staying." He said sharply walking out of the room.

Val chuckled and walked out as well.

Jacob entered and opeened his dresser drawer. He pulled out his last pair of pants. He pulled Barra's pants from his waist and slipped the other pair on.

Jacob slowly laid down next to Val, wrapping his one arm around her waist and shutting his eyes. He drifted off, happy for once.

Val felt the arm around her waist and quickly looked back. "j-Jacob....?" She said half asleep. She turned around completely and got a abit closer to the dragon lad. She placed her hand on his arm lightly and drifted off as well. A few surges of pain flew up through her spine as she felt the birds being killed by Heano. She whimpered and began to let loose a few tears.

Jacob felt her shivering, opened his eyes and saw her crying. He pulled her closer to his form and held her head to his chest gently. "Shhh..Calm down Val." He said in a comforting tone. "You held me when I was in pain, I'll do the same for you." He said staring down at her.

Val nodded her head and wrapped her arms around Jacob's figure. "I'm sorry for waking you.." She said before drowsing into a slumber.

Jacob shook his head. 'It's not your fault love...' he thought to himself, forcing his eyelids to stay open, for the rest of the time she slept.

After a few hours of sleeping, Val awoke to her head against Jacob's chest and his eyes open. She smiled and sat up slowly. "Happy slumber?" She asked, rubbing her eyes.

Jacob nodded his head, lying to her...He knew he had no sleep what so ever, but didn't want her to be sorry about it. He sat up with her and smiled. "Shall we go grab Kovu and Adrinta?" He asked with a yawn.

Val nodded, waiting for Jacob to get up then crawled onto his back. She moved in between his wings not wanting to damage them more then they already were.

Jacob laughed and walked out of the room, his tail flicking dangerously behind him.
