HSWW Part 5
Hogsmeade
Watching Pansy and Susan walk in what seemed like silence, Hermione turned to Harry. "You, of all people, should know that the Room of Requirement will allow us to use magic," she said matter-of-fact
ly. She turned to see Ron standing lamely where the trio had been before. "Why is he still over there?"
"Because you smell like dragon ass ya hag!" Ron snapped.
Hermione glared at Ron, advancing rather quickly on him. Without warning, she slapped him with her right hand. "Take that back," she said calmly.
"Why-" Ron began, then paused, flushing red enough to make his freckles look white. "I..I'm sorry, now get off my back."
"I'm not on your back, Ron," Hermione said turning to look at Hogwarts. "I just..." She stopped before even close to finishing.
Harry went back to Ron and hermione "Would you both shut up already?" he yelled at them
"We'll have to get back to Hogwarts soon, so hurry your blimey business up why don't you?" Ron said.
Harry looked at Ron "What bloody business Ron I dont have any" Harry said back
"Let's just go," Hermione said, taking the first steps into the trodden snow back up to the castle.
Ron said nothing and followed.
Harry followed them and sighed "I'm sorry for getting mad at you two"
Hallway
Pansy waited until she and Draco were out of earshot of Snape. "What the bloody hell was that about?!" She whispered as she and Draco kept walking.
"Obviously." Susan said plainly "Something is up with Professer Snape. Should we trust him Pansy?!" Susan then asked Pansy calmly
"Of course we can!" Draco blurted before Pansy could reply. He turned to Pansy, "But he is definately up to something."
"I doubt that he's purposely trying to hide anything from us." Pansy muttered, "But the Ministry must have something against Hogwarts." She cleared her throat, "Again. But what is it?"
Draco began to say something but stopped when he noticed other students walking past them. He quickly put on his usual frown and waited until they were our of hearing range. "We'd better head back to the common room. No doubt Goyle doesn't know yet and we should probably fill him in." He turned to Susan, "Why don't you go back to Hogsmeade and try and get Potter and his little crowd. Tell them we'll meet back in the Grand Hall later on tonight." Without another word, Draco and Pansy kept walking towards the Slytherin Common Room, leaving Susan behind.
Slytherin Common Room
Goyle lumbered into the common room looking around for fellow Slytherin, but saw none. He frowned stupidly and decided it best to sit in a chair and wait for Draco.
Goyle was caught a little off guard as Draco and Pansy came bursting through the door, muttering to themselves.
Pansy walked further into the common room before noticing Goyle sitting there. "Oh! Hello Gregory!" She jumped a little in surprise.
Goyle looked up at them standing up in greeting and grunting "Pansy." before looking between the two, sensing something was awry "Uh,anything wrong Draco?" he cracked his knuckles grimacing "Can I fix it for you?"
"I highly doubt it." Draco muttered, grabbing the newspaper and handing it to Goyle. He pointed to the article, "Read this."
Goyle took the paper and furrowed his thick brow in concentration as he read and looked up at Draco confused holding the paper limply in his hands "No more magic?" he shook his head slowly in disbelief "I-I don't understand." He frowned and scratched his head "What's the point of being wizards...if we can't use magic?"
"Exactly." Draco replied, "And Snape seems to know something more about it that I think he's hiding."
Pansy began to pace around the room, "Of all people, I guessed that he would have been honest with you." She muttered to Draco. She suddenly stopped pacing, "You don't think Snape could have helped the Ministry in this, do you?"
Goyle looked aghast at Pansy and shook his head vigourously "No way!!" he said louder than neccesary folding his arms across his chest shaking his head and crumpling the paper
"The question isn't if he's helping the Ministry," Draco mumbled, picking up the paper, "It's what exactly we need to be protected from."
Pansy froze and slowly looked over at Draco. "I think I know what he means."
Draco saw Pansy nod and understood, "He knows about Azkaban." He nodded in response and looked down at the paper, "There's going to be a break-out."
Goyle furrowed his brow looking confused glancing from Pansy to Draco frowning slightly "Breakout....from Azkaban?"
Pansy shook her head, "No. That wouldn't happen. If Snape knew that, surely Dumbledore would and he wouldn't sit around and wait for something like that."
"I'll be right back." Draco muttered as he walked out the door and returned to the Grand Hall.
"And he's gone." Pansy sighed, plopping down in the closest chair. She glanced over at Goyle who was sitting patiently for something to happen. She raised an eyebrow, "I think he's finally lost it." She muttered
Goyle glared at her before faithfully following Draco
"Where do you think you're going?!" Pansy yelled after him, "Would you get back here! Don't follow him! Oh fine!" She shouted and stomped after him.
