This site is to spread awareness of the man that single handedly effected everyones life. H.P.Lovecraft wrote stories of modern terror and of the macabre. He completely changed horror for the 20th century by getting away from ghosts and spirits and into using modern terrors and modern science along with using what we dont know to scare us to death. He was highly influenced by Edgar Allan Poe so if you like Poe you will like Lovecraft. Many COF songs are based off of stories of Lovecraft. The man invented so many horrors we know today and invented the word Necronomican and the book of the dead he invented so many things.

Any one who enjoys great horror stories will love Lovecraft.

2005-08-14 [windowframe]: For the record, it's Necrnomicon. And although I love horror, and am a fan of Lovecraft, I don't think he's a great horror writer; - he can't be, he fails to scare people, because everything that scares his characters is 'beyond imagination' - which yes, would be damn well scary for the people who could actually see it - but for the people who have to rely on their imagination? Well... it's an exercise in futility, to say the least. However, the Cthulhu mythos rocks. :3
