During the legendary Clone Wars, General Grievous served as the leader of the Separatist droid army. Grievous was a cunning warrior who led the Separatists to many stunning victories over the Jedi Knights and the Old Republic military. Grievous became known as the worst enemy the Jedi had ever faced in battle. Many brave Jedi perished at the wrong end of Grievous' light sabers.

Grievous killed these Jedi: Lipi Doucet, Marq Trendi, Pocer Yalerdis, Whu-Si Landris and a couple other Jedi. Grievous was defeated by Nebar Foxis, Jaas Hartin and Mnanr Tis. Grievous had to retreat from these three Jedi to save his life.

During the Clone Wars Grievous later kidnapped Emperor Palpatine and was assited by the evil Sith, Darth Tyranus. After Anakin Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi skillfully rescued Palpatine, Grievous escaped to the planet Utapau and there he held the Utapau leader Tion Medon and his people hostage.

On Utapau he met with the Separatist leaders to discuss how the Separatists would be so-called protected and "Taken care of." After the Separatists left for their destination (suggested by Darth Sidious), Grievous was attacked by Jedi Obi-wan Kenobi and later the Clone Armies of the Republic. There Grievous and Obi-wan fought one-on-one, but even though Grievous fought skillfully and cunningly he ended up loosing to Obi-wan who shot Grievous' organ jar with Greivous' own blaster handgun. This only resulted in Grievous' death.

After the death of General Grievous, a droid known as 'Necrosis' then later occupied the cyborge in the "Star Wars Galaxies." Quest: "Age of the Wookies."
