Info

Player - [Lepellier]

Name - Garen Kasuke-Varius

Race - Human

Sub-race - Xiadomian/Ravillian

Class - Rogue/Fencer

Allegiance - Mercenary

Appearance - Garen is a slender Xiadom male of nearly 6 foot in height and weighing a little over 130 pounds. He has a healthy, yet slender frame, and is not overly muscular. His hair is kept long, hanging down over his eyes and ears. He has a section of longer hair in back that he keeps tied back in a ponytail with a piece of red leather. His hair is black by color. He has small, almond shaped eyes of a dark brown color. His skin is tanned, and looks a little ruddy. Though slightly odd for what his main looks lead him to seem (More like a Xiadom), He has a gruff bit of stubble growing along his chinline, to add to his ruddy appearance. He face has a gentle and glowing look to it, with smooth, flowing features, and a sly, bad-boy grin of his. As for clothing, he wears a pair of dark green, calf-length leggings. As for covering his upper body, He is tattooed all across his torso with many different, intricate designs. Though proud of these tattoos, and not wearing a shirt, he does wear a long, black cloak that is in a slightly rough condition, torn and tattered along the bottom edge. He will often wear a bamboo hat to keep the sun, or other elements out of his eyes.

Age - 26

Personality - He has a salesman's personality, to put it into terms. He's a friendly face, with a shady undertone. He's not overly cocky, but a haughty personality can be drawn by some of his actions. He is often a calm person, with a cool disposistion. His nerves seem to have little effect on him, with it be in the face of danger, or in the middle of a heated sales deal. He tends to seem as a dark, sly, shadowy person. He is truly a rogue at heart, and has an intense urge for adventure and treasure seeking. He seeks one real thing in his life, and that's freedom. He is a very tricky person, normally sneaking along the outskirts of battle, waiting for a good opprotunity to attack. In more civil aspects, He may not be a full-fledged leader of a group, but he will lead in his own right. He has taken on a legend that his tounge is made of quicksilver (Though not literally, of course), because his words are so fluid and it seems he can nearly talk his way through most danger.

History - Garen's parents met on the Rice Road, His father was a trader from Ottavia, who would come to Xiadom to trade his goods. Garen's mother was a beautiful Xiadomian woman who helped on the trade route with the traders who came from far and wide. After a few months of the two seeing each other on the route, they wed and, sure enough, a bit short of a year later, they had a child. Throughout his youth, Garen was raised in Xiadom, and on the Rice road. At the age of 12, Garen's father gave Garen his first weapon, a small spear, which may seem to be a strange weapon to give to a young child, but Garen's father was known as one of the better spear-smiths of Ottavia. Though Garen was a reckless youth, he treated the spear with upmost respect, and, even at such a young age, took hours a day in training with his weapon. Growing up on a trading route, Garen saw many different types of rogues and scoundrels littering the road. Many of the rogues that Garen actually met were good men with a great sense of adventure, which is something Garen admired most about them. Shortly after his 16th birthday, Garen set off on his own, now with a new spear that was gifted him by his father. Though he was caught starry-eyed by how the rogues of the Rice road held themselves, he was brought in under the wing of one of these rogues. As Garen quickly learned, the life of a rogue was far from the glitz and glamor tat he once thought it was, but he learned of how a rogue came to be. Though the road to become a rogue was by far not what Garen expected it to be, he stuck to the path, and trained his way until he reached that goal. Ever since, he left the rogue's training to set off on his own, and traveeling the roads, seeking fulfillment in his sense of adventure and his freedom.

Special Skills
Cloaking - When the shadow warrior hides, he is almost invisible. + 5 to hide and move silently.

Lucky Bastard - Rogues are incredibly lucky, and every now and then this may save them from great harm. When an attack would render a rogue unconsious, he is left with 1 hp instead of 0 or lower. This ability doesn't work in obvious conditions such a drowning or falling in a pool of lava. However, when an enemy takes no chances in stabbing down the rogue (such as when he is immobilised) not even this ability can save the rogue. This ability works once per day for every 20 levels. Also grants a + 5 bonus to Tumble, Use Rope, Search, Lockpick, Pick Pocket, Move Silently, Hide and General Knowledge.

Bad Boy Charm: - Although they mostly aren't very reliable and have little care for rules or honour, rogues hold a strange attraction to others. Their charisma and wits often help them bluff out of dangerous situations, get a better bargain at traders, pretend to be very brave indeed, or when taking on a terryfying presence himself. Once per day for every 8 levels, a Rogue may add his raw intelligence to any charisma based skill he has, including skills such as Cause Panic, Bluff, Diplomacy, and even saves versus fear effects.

Flashstep - Once a day for every 5 levels, the fencer can consume all of his movement by running in a straight line at very high speed, when he flashsteps, he can move through enemies and do an attack against each enemy he moves through.
