Abilities

Stealth
(uses 1 Stamina) Allows the user to sneak by opponents unnoticed if Agility 5 > all nearby oppenent's Accuracy. Enhanced greatly by Shadow Magic.

Vamp
(Uses 1 Stamina) Allows the user to perform any of three actions upon a target...
1. Steal 3 Health or Stamina from a living target, attack always damages target by 3.
2. If used with a bite attack and does not kill, then target will turn into a vampire. (Unless Undead, Demonic, Angelic, Dragon, or Automoton.)
3. (Only on Dead Targets) May steal 1 point of the highest stat on a target, the stat must be higher than the current stat changing. (Over time with several victories, this will make vampires very powerful)

Ghost Avoidance
Allows the user to improve change of avoiding a ghost attack by adding 3 to Agility Status.

Description

      Cursed to live a damned life before he was even born, The Highwayman was born to Maria and Alphonse Slean. Their town was attacked by the undead and in an attempt to escape Maria was infected while still pregnant with little Nyle. Alphonse rushed her to be cured by the Yggdrasil. Maria suffered no consequences of the infection after being cured, though the pair were anxious when she prematurely went into labor. Thus, Nyle Slean was born. The midwife let out a shrill scream when see saw the child. Alphonse ran to her side, gasped and accused her of doing something to his first born son. Maria demanded to see her child, against her husband's pleads, the midwife handed the small child to his mother.
       The young mother's eyes widened when she saw the deforming scar that covered half of her baby's little face, and she pushed the child away from her. The father ripped a section of his sleeve off and covered the child's scarred and deformed face. The young parents both agreed to leave the child on the doorstep of a small church beside a graveyard. It was a cold winter's night and the child screamed for warmth. A young woman heard the child's plea and found it nearly covered in snow. She saw the mask it wore and slowly moved it and looked behind it. She gasped and replaced the cloth over the child's face. She saw a small piece of paper placed beside him in an envelope, she opened it and found a name on the card, Nyle Slean. She turned to her caravan of traveling gypsies and pleaded with her father to let her care for the boy. Her name was Zoe Yves, and she renamed the baby The Highwayman, for the church was on the side of a widely used road which many called a highway. Zoe raised the boy and her father, Xavier Yves, made him a side show in their caravan, titling him "The Devil's Child" that was left on a church doorstep to be raised. Xavier beat the child for not complying to all his demands, and scolded Zoe for raising him poorly.
      Zoe, now 18, took the now young boy, about 6, and ran away from the caravan. Her father chased them to bring them back to the pack of gypsies and punish Zoe for her indiscretions. She found a theatre in the Fellrise city and hide the boy in a small drain within. Xavier found the girl without the boy and beat her harshly in front of the grate, Nyle grew angry and his hate for the man already increased immensely. He quickly jumped from behind the grate and grabbed the man's throat and strangled him. Zoe watched in horror as the small boy killed a fully grown man. In fear she ran for her life.
      Now alone in the world, the boy roamed the streets of the city and came to a wall, he looked over the side and saw the meaning of death. A banshee shreeched in front of him, sending him falling backward onto the ground below the wall. A man held out his hand to the child, who out grew the cloth mask and now traveled with a burlap sack as his only link to dignity. Nyle looked up to the well dressed stranger. He accepted the hand, the man led him into a dark alleyway and bit into his neck, the boy tried to get away from the vampire, but was converted.
      Pain ran through the boy's body, sending him to his knees. The man laughed viciously and left him writhing in pain in the alleyway. Nyle passed out lying there on the ground, the next morning he woke sicked and hungry. He opened his eyes to the bright light of the sun and ran back to the theatre, which had become his safe haven. There he spent his days feeding on unsuspecting actors, singers, and dancers. He terrorized the theatre members and demanding payment if they wanted him to discontinue his feast of flesh and blood. One singer caught his attention on her debut at the theatre, she was very beautiful and her talent was good, but he decided to help her become the greatest there ever was or ever would be. He hid in the shadows and gained her trust as he gave her lessons.
