A good*cheap* way to contact... sometimes works...
is have a necklace with a heavy pendant.
Hold it up, make sure to hold it as still as possible. 
Kindly ask the presence of whatever may be there to turn the necklace clockwise for yes and counterclockwise for no(make sure you give an example... just in case. :P)
Then, ask yes/no questions.

We've tried it in a church when I was working with Beavers. We went through all the craft stuff and sorted out/cleaned the cupboards and stuff.
While we were eating supper in the back, there was a large dark room with a door at the other end that leads into a hallway. It was completely dark and the only light in the room we were in was near the dark room's door... so none of our shadows could be cast into that room. O.O
I was sitting so I could stare into that room... and I saw a shadow of a child go across the back wall and disappear into the hallway. We went to look and we saw a child's head disappear into a room at the end of the hall.
So we went into that room and while Kristy and I were in there(my brother was too freaked out to join us so he stayed in the room with the lights on where we ate supper)... a rocking chair that had been holding a door shut, it moved and the door flew open. We could hear a child laughing faintly.
So we went back and got to work with this child playing jokes on us and freaking my brother out all the while. Then, when we were finished, we went and sat in that room and did that test with the necklace/pendant and found out that there WERE kids there and an elderly lady.
...
When we were getting ready to leave, we were walking through the main big room(with lights off of course) and my brother and I heard a loud scream! O.O Came from the rooms we just came from.
So... yea... we ran from the building.
Walking away, I looked back and could see the shape of a little girl watching us from the second story staircase window. O>O

Mia, a person doesn't always go back to the place they've died. Sometimes, a spirit will go back to a place they remember well... or a place they loved being.
I've learned this working at the Old Folks home... I've witnessed 5 people die in that home... NONE of the spirits are there. Tons of people have died in said home over the years... NOT ONE spirit is there!!

2010-11-10 [Lothuriel]: I have to agree with Flail. I've been a paranormal researcher/Ghost hunter for nearly 20 years. It is rare to find a nursing home or a hospital that is haunted. However, I have had some experience with the living "haunting" a place. It's called psychic projections.

And no, you most definitely can't believe everything you see on paranormal tele.

But this tv show is pretty famous here... people from all over the country who have strange stuff happen to them in their houses can call in, and a medium will come to the house to check it out. Afterwards, the tv people check local history and talk to other local people to see if anything the medium said makes sense =P
In last week's show, the medium explained about how "traces" from living people could be left in a house after they moved and that the family living there now was probably experiencing that ^^;

2010-11-10 [Lothuriel]: Thier first mistake was calling in a medium. 99.98% of all tele mediums and psychics are fake and nothing more than entertainers. ANYONE can claim to be a medium. If one knows enought information about a location, the location's history and inhabitants; a skilled professional could easily manipulate those facts and seem a convincing psychic.

They've only used like 2 mediums through the whole show (it has several seasons), the host is fairly skeptic to it all (even when the families talk about what has happened), they tell all the facts they find even if they don't match with what the medium says, and they don't draw any conclusions ^^;
(So 99,9% of the time I obviously believe it's bs, like I do with every other show XD).

Getting back to the topic of this wiki...
My friend Kristy showed me a Class C evp from a recording she did at my place.
We had been talking about demonology and stuff, and she had been quizzing me.
And I said that I prefer provoking spirits into showing themselves. I prefer playing with fire(so to speak) and provoking demons. (>:D!!!) ... we both go quiet for a moment and you can hear a mumbly/whispery voice say "Please, don't hurt me..." ....
To satisfy the skeptics possible thoughts, Kristy and I were the only ones awake.
My brother was asleep(he doesn't talk in his sleep!) ...
My mom was asleep, but the voice was so close to the recorder, it couldn't have been her because her bedroom is down the hall.
No televisions were on.
No radios were on.
Nothing electric except for the recorder.
And my bedroom window was shut.

*can't remember* Did I tell you guys about my EMF detector randomly spiking weirdly in my room a couple weeks ago?!

I was in my room packing to go to my aunts place and for fun I tried out my EMF. I was in the corner where I've had the most activity happen(unexplained growls, shadows, voices, etc.) and my EMF spiked into the red and started beeping madly. Then it stopped. It was like something walked past it. So I tried it near the phone in case it was that... nothing. I tried it in the same spot as before... nothing. I tried it near my TV... nothing. Whatever set it off wasn't there anymore. Anyways, I had to keep packing, so I did. But, I left my EMF on... beside my bed on my table/stool/chair thing. XD I stopped packing to look at it, and as I did, it spiked again into the red and beeped again. A minute later, it stopped... for about half an hour after that... it kept spiking... and all the while, I had that inner chill... ya know... the one people get when a spirit's around? I kept getting that... so I knew there was something there! X3

2010-11-28 [Ghost the Hybrid]: i think we might have a poltergeist here but i'm not sure...my x-mas decorations has been moved

2010-11-28 [Ghost the Hybrid]: my parents refuses to go into my room so the only ones that could have moved them are me or our cats, and it's highly unlikely that the cat has moved the declarations and i know that i haven't moved them.....

2010-11-28 [Aliz]: You could've moved them without remembering =/ and the cats could've bumped into them... and it could be your parents after all...
(besides, wouldn't it be more likely that a poltergeist trashed the decorations, rather than move them around a little?)

2010-11-28 [Ghost the Hybrid]: my cats can't get up where the decorations are and my parents really wouldn't get into my room and i had just put the decorations up, and you might be right with the trashing tho

But if it happens again, put up a camera :D

okay, so it's not somewhere I haven't been.
But it's somewhere I KNOW there's something.
My friend Kristy just told me that something moved her voice recorder and erased her latest recording(which had lotsa neat evidence on it) ... anyways, so she asked if I'd do an overnight investigation with her in two weeks. *squeals*

One of the ghost's is apparently a headless, cloaked shadow who only appears when somebody in the house is in danger/will die *__* The most famous ghost is apparently one of the owners who mysteriously disappeared *____*
